Well yes of course but maybe not in the starting XV.
Meyer made the wrong decision by selecting him out of
position at 13 and then writing him off too early when he
didn't have enough opportunities to shine in the bok jersey.
The worst case scenario is to see the useless De Villiers
ahead of De Allende. Lets hope it doesn't happen again this year.

The purpose of making these videos is to show how great these
players really are, the doubters are always criticizing without
looking at what the player has to offer.

Thanks to the ones who watched the video or shared it.
Much appreciated.

 Jerome
One should never judge a player on one game - he had a poor game yesterday, but I think the problem was in a way that as the only real dangerous player in the Stormers backline he got targeted by the opposing teams and that caused some serious problems.
The following is his stats yesterday:-
de Allende0/001/1/3700138/10/010/0
I also think that he showed some defensive frailties in games previously - but yesterday that was not the case.   However, yesterday he knocked on three balls - which really was not a problem in the past.   Wonder why it happened, but maybe he has been over-played.  I think he has not missed a sin gle game since the start of Super 15.

Good vid Jerome, thought you were waiting until the end of the season so you could get all the clips from the season?
Also your missing the his contributions in the Chief's game where had gave SBW a masterclass in center play!

Loved the part where he ran over Lambie.

But the part I have a problem with is that these tribute videos don't show you enough to get a true impression of a player. You are only highlighting moments that went right. We saw nothing of his communication or running lines in general play. There just isn't enough to form a more technical understanfding of the player .If he plays Roberts or Nonu, or Barritt... he won't have such a physical dominance. What will he do then? It would be more productive to produce a video in a competitive game with all the clips where he had the ball. You get to see the good, the bad and the ugly. Then you start to pick up trends, analyze his movement, communication and tendencies.

A player is never in direct opposition to the opposing 12 and also he played well against the Hurricanes in Wellington this year of which Nonu was at 12 for them. His communication is definitely a strong suit as he's apparently part of the Stormers leadership and when De Jong was out for one of the matches this year he was calling the attacking plays.
The only negative to him that I've noticed is his defence can be a bit flimsy and his technique needs some refining.

It's not a case of never. Modern rugby structures it's attacking formations and lines on the basis of their strongest runner against the opponents weakest runner. Look at the part last year where Serfontein attacked Frans and he was hit so hard his shirt exploded. It happens. And to assume your opponent wont do something is naive to a fault! If New Zealand feel they have a weakness, you can bet your bottom dollar they will have Nonu in the area. So too everyone else their biggest runner.

It sis BS in capital letters again here.  Fransie was a flop against De Allende and only a fool would have disregarded that.   De Allende beat of the top 12's in world rugby when he was opposed by SB Williams and Nonu and in those two games he made 3 clean line breaks and beat 11 defenders - the defenders beaten included Williams and Nonu.
Was Nonu not the player that Jordaan dealt with so conclusively in the game between the Sharks and the blues last year - so badly that Nonu on two occasions lost possession of the balls in tackle situations?  Another player who was good in his prime - but is rapidly approaching his sell by date - if not already there.   So is Roberts as well.  His contract with Racing Metro will not be renewed because of that - I believe.  Slow as a cart horse and even worse than Fransie in that respect.

Wishful cursing on Nonu Mike = it will not come to pass. Nonus best is yet to come in RWC 2015.
