De Jongh is a real defense liability which which made him a zero insofar as top class center play is concerned. In his last two games he made 14 tackles missing 5. That leaves him with a missed tackle ratio of 26,1% - which is in line with the ratio of last year.
De Allende missed too many tackles too - but that is understandable - he has to cover for the flops outside of him and that is where the majority of his misses occurred.
De Jongh last played for the Springboks in 2012 and was an utter flop - he went AWOL in both tests he played in and nothing will change if he is selected again. Anybody even thinking he would be a suitable selection must really think about what he is capable of and what he can produce in all aspects of the game and what he produced the last two times he played for the Springboks.

Sure his defense was brilliant with a missed tackle ratio of 30%. What a farce do you make of rugby as a game when you comment on issues.
I am not biased at all - unlike you I look at all aspects of the game and give credit where credit is due. I did say De Jongh made a good intercept against the Waratahs and that he was good yesterday in some aspects of his performance is clear. However, I also point out where he fails and that is in defense - where he failed in both his last two games.

Rushed defense is not a new excuse - you used it when it when it fits your book - in other words when a failed defender is to be protected against factual deficiencies. Stop harping on what I do in private life - that has bugger all to do with you - and start thinking about rugby, a game where you have the most limited knowledge of imaginable.

Please let us not have wee de Jongh anywhere near a Bok side.Much better players exist like kriel, Vorster, Jan, Odendaal. Pity Stokkies Hanekom has been injured - when is he due back. Then there is Sadie and Mapoe and JP. Estwehuisdbn is growing in confidence too.
Allende can paly 13 so no worries. Jean may come back well rested and on fire - we shall see.
De Jongh is a big no no. Why pick a proven non performer for the Boks. His tackling is powder puff and his distribution skills are putrid.

The last info about two weeks ago was that Hanekom would be back in three weeks time - so his return to full training is likely to be soon. I would love to see how he and Vorster combines at center - that could be an eye-opener for all of us.
I must admit I was more impressed by Vorster than odendaal in their few outings - I think Vorster is a smoother and more dangerous player than Odendaal.

De Jongh is small by modern centre standards, but technically he plays the position better than Mapoe, Sadie, and all these other unproven guys. Right now he looks like the best SA13 in the S15.

What a farce - he does not play better than other 13's in Super 15 and that includes Mapoe, Sadie and Venter. I am not an Engelbrecht admirer and Murray is just plain and simple useless. He is better than the latter two - but worse than the first three mentioned.
Jones was better than De Jongh ever was in the tournament in the game against the Hurricanes.
De Jongh again has the worst defensive stats of any 13 in SA and that makes him totally unsuitable to be classified as the best 13 at present in SA Super 15 teams.

Correct me if I'm wrong but when I hear the term has-been I always think of someone, especially in the sporting arena, as one who has achieved at a high level in the past......what has Waylon Murray achieved that is of note?
