Defence wins WC semis.

Much is made the heroic Bok defence which was sturdy enough, but the NZ tackling was awesome. When have you ever seen the Boks beat only  3 tackles in a game. That deprived us of all momentum and set up turnover ball. There's your match decider.

 Dr Mozzzzzz please. How many Welshies did we beat. You cant beat defenders by being so predictable. That was the clear message for years now.

 They showed the takle stats at one point during the game. From memory it was 100 takles for Boks 60 odd for ABs. The Boks had missed a lot of tackles, ABs next to none.
So yes defence is very important but you have to score points also & you can't play defence for the whole game. Boks were living off penalties from the first half. When that dried up they were in trouble. So although their defence was ok not scoring points was a problem.

 Exactly so.Its all a coaching issue that needs to be addressed. No more ifs and buts about it.
Its a miracle we are still competitive!

 Here are the Welsh stats....Boks beat 20 tackles. It was a turnaround on last week. The Boks were the same players but the AB defence was so tight there was no space to even get up pace. Defence won that test. 
Of course attacking play is key, but as we saw from the Boks in 07 and Oz in 99 a watertight defence is a winning platform
Not one Bok forward beat a defender today. That's why our phased play was so cramped. And if you looked at that defence it stretched out like a steel wall all the way to 13 channel.

 sorry moz nz defence was not put under any pressure at all from a lacklustre meyer attacking pattern.......it seems like meyer wanted to emulated the 95 boks a bit to much
