Somebody buggered around with the above post of mine - and the person who did it must suffer from rank stupidity. I have a suspicion it is either Ceradunce or his co-idiot Mozart who somehow got into my profile and post the most stupid posting ever.
If this happens again I am going to lay a formal complaint with the editor and ask for an investigation.

When SBW play the Chiefs score 12 more points than when he doesn't. This was said by the commentators in the Chiefs vs. Blues game. Not a bad stat. I am not worried about him going up against SA centers.

SBW is a valuable player, but he's not bigger than the team. One gets the idea he is some kind of superhero. ..IMHO he is a great player but a bit overhyped. ..like Etzebeth as well. It is not good for a team sport if some individual gets too much of the glory.

DB: I agree no player is bigger than the team. Such players have to be teams that are at least decent to have an impact. My main point was re all the comparisons with De Allende, he hasn't done enough yet to prove himself but is being over hyped. One good game against a concussed player doesn't prove much. He played well against the Canes but again, early days yet.

JW
I was fortunate today - I did have Williams as a VC in my Foxsport selections - but since he did not play I got my bench player in as a center and that was De Allende - who thus far scored 39 points. I will anytime make a trade like that.
My bad selection was Cruden at flyhalf - he now had a few very average games, two good games and a really questionable game against the Blues. Seriously disappointed in that selection.

JW I think we have eliminated the cowardly moles epidemic we once had. A few stern words and kicks into touch and they were toast. Your lack of effectiveness in this process was however noted.I do trust some mole is not trying to alter text. I suspect however it was cerudunce windpomp.

Ceradunce
Stop your nonsense - especially hacking other peoples site and making false inputs in his name. You are Dof and you are a doos - we all know that - but this is way overboard and i f it happens again I am going to approach the editor in the relevant regard.

Thanks SB. Despite De Alende's poor first half today, he is still the best 12 around. The lions 13 is worth a look to partner him for the boks, but as it stands De Jongh should wear the Bok 13 ATM.

De Alende was poor today. Better in the 2nd half, but he had a horrid 1st half. I didn't watch the Sharks game and only the first half of the Lions, but I liked the Lions 13. And he played against the best backline in the tournament!

DeAllende's mistakes were a bit unlucky in some ways. But he seemed a bit harried by the close marking. An aberrant note. All these young centres showing up well in the S15 will find tests a more intense experience.
JP and Frans were up against Nonu and Smith and looked forceful and competent. When push comes to shove and experience counts, I still think this is the likely pairing with de Allende on the bench.

De Allende has been the best 12 in the tournament by far. He deserves the Bok 12 jersey. 13 should go to de Jongh with the best of the rest fighting for the bench spot.

"Deserves" doesn't phase me...we have seen so many players with good S15s bombing in tests. He has got himself into contention....now he needs to confirm his form in the big games. And don't forget his 75 per cent success rate on defence....he isn't quite the finished article.
But before I am attacked by Moronic, he is one of the contenders and our most dangerous attacking centre at this point.

Agreed Moz. I said he deserves to be given a proper chance. It's his to make or break. IMO he is way better than Serf. Fransie will always be a contender, but will need to do something special to leap into the starting 15. There just seems to be too much issues surrounding his play for the Boks and he's been out for 5 weeks, so I will reserve judgement for a while still.
IMO, if there ever were players forcing their way into contention, it is Kitshoff and Koch. Malherbe was in the picture already, but I would be very surprised if Koch and Kitshoff doesn't make it for the first test. Jannie on the bench at best. I'm a huge Beast fan, but Kitshoff has been a revelation this year. Sad to see him off to France, albeit for a short stint.

Yes Kitshoff has been money all S15... I doubt he will get the nod over the Beast, but he should be in the match squad for the WC. And as we have discussed before whoever has created this Stormers scrumming machine is my coach for the Bok scrum. Hell even Alistair is looking like a monster.
10 May 2015, 00:42#31
Mapoe has been the best SA 13 and deserves a shot in this years RC, De Jong has had his chances for the Boks and has done nothing.
