Look I am a great Morne fan, but I agree with HM on this change. The team with Morne is a known. And frankly without a power lock like Flip and a power flank like Alberts, less well positioned to play our forward dominance game. So if we are going to be more expansive, Morne is less of a factor.

Also in Game Theory terms, if we are likely losers this time around, why not scramble the variables. We may in fact do worse, but the possibility of a win can't be ignored. I'm optimistic based on the team's apparent focus.

Finally I know HM understands if he selected Morne the vitriol against the player would have been at Adi Jacobs levels. With Morne possibly struggling after his gaff, that may not have been in Steyn's best interests.

Now it's crystal clear....the team played well but Morne made a fatal error. Morne gets punished and the team soldiers on unchanged. Accomplishments are rewarded, mistakes are punished.....leadership is clear.

This is Tokkie's description of my reaction to the Morne missed touch

 *   The fact that after he first ignored the incident where Steyn missed a penalty line kick in the Perth test last year and  afterwards tried to justify it as inexplicable as it never happened before.

A total lie. I never tried to justify his touch miss. I sadly admitted that Morne had to be dropped and in another post enthusiastically welcomed the selection of Pollard. As you can read above.

Dont believe a word Tokkie writes....the man is a blight on this Board.

This bloody liar must be the worse idiot the world has ever known.    Look at the date of that message he quoted - 11 September 2014.   The Perth test was on 6 September 2014 and the issue was debated immediately after the test.  The message above by Mozart  was on the following Thursday - after Meyer has dropped Morne Steyn from the AB test team.
What did the bloody fool write immediately after the Perth test when what happened during the match was discussed?   Like per normal Mozart kow-tow whenever Meyer decided to change a selection.   Here 5 days after the test he comes up with a quote where he suddenly says  "Morne made a fatal error".    After the match on 6 September his tone was entirely different.
Now that was a prize change of tune - I must admit, but he could not really do otherwise - a belated statement that Morne made a "fatal error".   But Morne was dicing with fatal errors when he came on from the bench in both the home and away games against Argentina as well.   In the home game he made a kick deep in the Springbok 22 and only a desperate effort by the maligned De Allende prevented Bosch from scoring a try.   In the away test after the Springboks near the end of the game finally got into a 2 point lead through a penalty and the Argentinians kicked the ball in there was a maul - the ball came out - was passed to Morne near the Springboks 22 and he kicked it into touch directly.   A line-out was formed opposite from where Morne kicked the ball and the Argentinians went on the attack.  The Springboks barely managed to hold them out - a penalty or dropped kick would have lost the game for the Springboks.   Jannie was not on the field of play and the other players avoided a penalty - but a dropped kick was a distinct possibility.
The first incident was ignored - the liar knew it happened and when it was discussed he never commented.  However in the case of the second incident he lied outright and said it never happened.
When it comes to lies nobody lies more than Mozart on this site.  The fool may admit belatedly that something happened - like in the Perth test - but in the other tests mentioned he lies outright only when challenged.

He tried to fall on his sword but there was a burglary at his house and the amazing story is that the only thing that they took was his sword. He then went out and try to buy a new one but he could not find one to buy anywhere. They were all sold out.

He then tried to get hold of a sword maker but he was told that due to stringent new laws, a sword is deemed to be a traditional weapon and nobody is allowed to make swords in South Africa anymore.

True story.

You bloody two Village Idiots (Ceradunce and Desert Disaster fell for another lie of your leader.  This was not Mozart initial comments - but 5 fays later when Meyer dropped Morne because he was so piss-poor in that match.  His initial comments were silent - when he was affronted he was trying to find excuses and ultimately supported the seriously false story of Desert Disaster.
He could find no further excuses and when Meyer dropped Steyn and never played him since - as a Meyer psychophant he had to change his tune since it was clear he was talking sh!t all along.   So were you two Village Idiots.
But what can one expect from the three biggest liars on this site.

Moz and Fox,  how are you having your Lood,  Marcell & DdA crow?  I'm  grilling my Jannie crow with a rich red wine and garlick gravy. Thinking about grilled potatoes with sour cream and cheese for a side. Green salad and a glass of Robertson Chardonnay to top it off.

I never said Lood or Coetzee are bad players, but I will say Lood is average. So far everything is as I said it would be, all but Mohoje letting himself down. I am still not seeing anything different from Damian. He is playing exactly as I stated. The Bok midfield will have to tighten up considerably for NZ. And we are still relying on Willie to compensate for the lack of attack power at centre. Nothing's changed. The model from 2013, only Australia are weaker and more one dimensional now. If the Hurricanes or Highlanders played today they would have won.
