Dear Sir

I wish to refer to some comments made by Jalapeno! under the following threads:-

*    Interesting Rugby Coming this way and

*    Timo Swiel - flyhalf or Full Back

Both the comments were unsavoury and in extremely bad taste and the one specifically is a reflection of a Major Church of which Lambie is a member..

This character was previously a member of the site under the name of Rooinek 7 and his membership terminated because of disgraceful conduct.   I think his unsavoury comments are back to what he used to post on this site under his previous non-de-plume.

Can you please deal with the issue asap.

Really? I posted on this site before . . . and I was kicked off?

Ou Maaik, are you sure you're not still feeling a bit embarrassed after your hilarious comments about Google and how Google mysteriously found this website?

Above all never take rooitwit too seriously. Man if I can take being a baboon surely others can bear up. It should be like water off a ducks back in any case.  One shouldnt takes this cyber stuff that seriously!

Beeno and Saffex

I can take the banter - but i think that generalized insulting of people because they belong to a certain church is not banter - it is defamatory and unconstitutional - in other worlds totally unlawful.

I am not taking his insults seriously as a  person - but I believe there is really a limit as to what can be said on a public site like this - and what was said about church members of the Apostolic Chuch is definitely beyond the pail.

Frankly Saffex - what rugby comments of any significance from Rooinek have you seen on this site?

Mike rubbish, there is no topic that should be excluded - people can say what they like about any topic they choose - be it religion, sport, sex whatever.

Nothing Jal has said is anywhere near unlawful or unconstitutional unless of course we are living in 1652

Read the Consitution before you make silly remarks about 1652.   The Human Rights Commission will deal with issues such as the above and will fine the guilty party heavily for it.   It IS ILLEGAL AND IN CONFLICT WITH THE CONSTITUTION AND AS A LAWYER YOU SHOULD REALISE IT.

Saffex

Look at th following extracts from whay he wrrote:-

"Uh-oh, did anyone else notice Pat Lambie's favourite music? That is all we need . . . another Happy Clappy. Very disappointing."

But worse still what he said in explanation:-

"Perhaps if you weren't as thick as two very thick planks tied together with a very thick piece of string you'd realize that my comment was actually rugby related . . . unless you think temperament isn't important in rugby . . . or unless you are unaware of how these Happy Clappy chappies fold when the pressure is on. Hansie was a good example."

The above is a generalization that he implied is a characerisitics of all people belonging to the Apostolic Curch and really is character assassination of the worst kind.

"Actually rugby related"......bwaaaaaaahahahaha. Imagine that,  RooiAAS actually thinks Lambie is impaired as a rugby player because of his religion. So one wonders what's the desired faith? Or does it vary by position....Jewish chappies like Syd Nomis on the wing. DRC stalwarts at lock?

The mind boggles! Perhaps you can rank the religions in terms of rugby suitability,  Rooinek, maybe that would make your point seem even more....er.... insightful.

Nice one - I also believe that people have tthe right o speak their mind about everything - but there should always be a degree off decency and a realization that generalized comments on politics and religion can be offensive and really atrocious.    That type ot thing can be seriously damaging and the comments about Lambie was totally out of order and should gave been dealt with by the Editor.

I for one does not think that Lambie "folds under pressure" - and your defence of Rooi-arse is really not what I expected from you since I always thought that you rate Lambie as a rugby player..

Mozart

Do you really expect an answer to this one from the nit-wit?   I don't think so - he is way too stupid to really realize the full implications of what he said.

Wrong on all counts,  What the dimwit said about Lambie as a player had everything to do with it - he mentioned Lambie by name.   And what he said about the Apostolic Church members are against the very basic principles in the SA Constitution and hence illegal.

Do you believe that Lambie's religion has anything to do with his rugby performances as dimwit implies?

Did you ever read what your dim friend said?   He said that Lambie is a weakling that like all church members are weaklings that fold under pressure.   To attack a church ad church members o that basis are degrading them as a group or individually and implies contradiction of various constitutional provisions as to the rights and dignity of people.   He was the one that linked Lambie as a player whilst he denigrated the Church to which he belongs.

I do not care what Church Lambie belongs too - and share your viewpoints on his playing performances - but unfortunately your friend does not see it that way and you can be as sure as hell - he will keep harping on that one in future.

Sorry - but in this case you are in the wrong company  - so should I presume that birds of a feather flock togeher?

If I recall the post, Jalepeno said that Lambie was a "happy clappy". To my knowledge this does not refer to any particular religion, but religion in general. So it probably cant be classified as as racism, because all races have religion.

-

In no way do I support Jalepeno but I do think that adhering to a particular religion can in some ways be similar to being a racist- look at the amount of wars that have been fought with religion used as the ethical justification. Believing that your own cultures way of life is superior is a form of racism, but the actions from this belief are what makes a racist. He referenced Hansie Cronie who unforuntately was proved to be a total hypocrite when he admitted to match fixing cheats. Hansie Cronie later said that he was possed by the Devil in this one instance, instead of taking responsibility as an individual. A religious person blaming religion for his sins.

-

Although going back to the original issue of Jalapeno- he is here to stir conflict with everyone.

Not sure if he follows rugby, or if he is just a member of blogs to get into arguements with as many people as possibale. Maybe he has blog accounts will all sports, and any other topics to find a base of people to get into online arguements.

Rarely see him commenting or engaging in conversations, rather just focussing his time in criticising other peoples opions. He basically adds no value to the conversation, instead just seeking to insults others peoples contributions.

The term Happy Clappie is directly associated with the Apostolic Church and is a reflection of the fact that they clap their hands whilst singing hymns.   There is no other religious group or church to which that description is linked.   Although not a member myself - I did attend some services by the church concerned and an find nothing wrong in there religious believes and practices.

I found the remarks appalling and a reflection on Lambie in particular and the Church in general,

 clevermike,

I did not realise that happy clappy was associated with a single church- in South Africa, I thought it was a generalisation associated with all church goers who sing and clap.

-

I just ran a search on Google and found this article at number 1.

http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=happy%20clapper

1. happy clapper     a happy clapper is seriously religious person, most often used in connection with reference to a re-born or new-born christian.

can also be used as a describtion of someone naive or easy to please. - "what happened to mike? he don't come round to our club no more."

- "well, he don't go out doin sinful things no more. he's a happy clapper now."

- "what? oh man. amen!"

Thanks for your contribution about the computer definition of the term.   It is unfortunately so that the term is associated in SA with the specific church mentioned by me.   I was in fact not aware of Lambie's religious convictions until raised on this Board -  and may respect for him has in fact risen higher when it came to my attention.

And your description of the relevant member is spot-on.   He has been around on boards of this nature for years and his main aim always has been to attack members like Mozart, Beeno and myself - it has nothing to do with rugby.  That type of thing is really unsavoury and he has been banned from this Board previously - when he splashed particulars of Mozart's career all over the board.  Let me immediately state that there was nothing disreputable about Mozart - what Rooi-arse did was disgraceful and uncalled for since we all want to protect our privacy.

I see the dimwit is now quiet and has not commented on this thread - he msut have realized that he has discredited himself completely about what he wrote about Lambie.

Blokbok

I think we often enough creates in our minds the image that sportsmen are superhuman and that they do not respect anything at all.   However, of the famous people I have met and have seen and read about - is in most cases are in fact extremely nice and decent youngsters and many are deeply religious.   Many have family and religion as a basis for their sport and an anchor in life.   It gives them a large degree of discipline also and a respect for all other human beings..

One just have to look at a tennis player like Djokovic as an example.   He always makes the sign of the cross before he goes onto tennis courts or when he wins tournaments.

It turns "wild" youngsters into real professionals and reduces negative and irresponsible behaviour on and off the field of play and give them stronger leadership abilities - for example in the case of Keegan Daniel.  On the whole players with an anchor in life become positive roll models for the youth and we must appreciate the positve contribution they make and not do what the dimwit did in this case.

. . . or else taking bribes and throwing games for money and - when they get caught - lying through their teeth, blaming the devil and then bursting into tears.

Blobster, I have no problem with devout followers of proper religions like Hashim Amla, Bakkies Botha and Joel Stransky for example, my problem is with these fly-by-night "charismatic" cult-like churches who are only in business to relieve very stupid people of their hard-earned cash. Again, Hansie is a good example of what that type of "religion" results in.

Ou Maaik, I realize you're an extremely dull-witted individual and we know that you haven't quite unravelled the mysteries of Google, but a normal person might have simply noted the "music" I was referring to in Lambie's profile, typed the word "Hillsong" into Google or Wikipedia and found out that I was referring to one of the newfangled reborn Happy Clappy money-making "churches" I referred to above . . . nothing at all to do with the Apostolic church you're blathering on about like a stuck record.

Now stop crying like a big fat stupid baby and either take up your campaign to get me banned with the editor himself or shut the hell up. This tattle-tale blubbering of yours on the board is just embarrassing for everyone, especially when everyone else can see how far the point flew over your thick, sloping forehead.

Rooi-arse

You can ask any major investor in KwaZulu-Natal who contributed to economic growth in the province and on of the names mentioned would be mine - and I am proud about that.   I  never did condone corruption and malpractices and have never been a party to it.

However, you are and have always been a dimwith generalizing about bad elements and making them the example.   By the way Hansie Cronje has been dead for years now and the world did not move on.   Nobody said he was an example and everyone condems him.   If you have nobody else to rake up you are wlecome to do just that - but it really shows how disgustful you are.

Dimwit - most people associate the term "happy clappy" with the Apostolic Church in SA and that Church cannot that cannot be classified in the category of  "one of the newfangled reborn Happy Clappy money-making "churches" .

You really are a disgrace to this Board and the more you write about this topic - the worse you become.

I have never hidden the facts that -

*   I know jacob Zuma quite well as I served him with as a Trustee on the Albert Luthuli Trust and met him otherwise on a number of occassions; and

*   I have been a member of the ANC.

However, I have had no conteacts with Zuma after he became President and has for obvious reasons termiated my membership of the ANC.

My question is - what has the above to do with my membership of this site - I have never raised anything political on the site and when issues like quota selection came up - I always tried to shy away from them, whilst not supporting it at all.

I hope this does not become a topic for further discussion - it somehow reminds me of what Rooinek did to Mozart years ago and believe that kind of thing should not be tolerated on a site like this.
