Aside from the possibility of the hosts bombing out of their own competition before the knockout phases due to their inclusion in the pool of death,,,(GO FIJI)

...there is the centre conundrum...a real selection headache looms at centre..

Locked in apparently is Jamie Joseph and Brad Barrit

...Slugging it out for the two remaining spots are Luther Burrell, Billy Twelvetrees, Sam Burgess and Henry Slade, with Burrell and Joseph starting Saturday's clash with France...

...will be interested to see if league convert Burgess edges out some of England's more established centres.. .that yellow card last week not helping much you'd imagine..

If Yellow Cards were a barrier to selection, NZ would hardly ever field a full team, now would they ?
If you saw the match, you would be aware that his card was for a slight tug on the shirt of Parra, I believe, as he went to take a quick tap. Hardly a hanging offence ( unless ones name is Dylan Hartley ) Given Picamoles head butted Slade and Kockott tripped Care, both without censure, I think he was treated rather harshly in comparison, don't you ? I will also point out that Slade was guilty of taking a man out in the air and was not carded. This, I felt, was very fortunate. I am not biased, unlike some.
Twelvetrees should not make the cut, neither should Burrell. Daly should have been included in the Squad and Slade should be a definite. As for Burgess ? We shall see. They seemed quite happy with his performance in general.
It will depend on the Squad split of Backs to Forwards. That will determine some of the players places.

You haven't seen us play....and neither have I, for that matter. Anyone is capable of beating another team in sport, that is the nature of the game. Unlike some in the SH, some of us don't like to mouth off about who is going to beat who before they actually set foot on a pitch.
Whatever happens happens. Personally, I would like us to win and hope we get out of our Pool, which is a very tough ask.
And leave the lovely Mr C out of it, Brycy, thank you.
