There was a massive decrease of points earned by members in Round 2 compared to what happened in Round 1. The main problem relates to the atrocious display of WP this Round. The player points this week for players was not a fraction of what happened the previous week. The main problem has been the poor display by WP in their game against the Cheetahs.
Just some useful information for members:-
* Bear in mind that Joe Pietersen is a very useful kicker at goal - aside from the fact that he is also a good full back. That will always earn him extra points.
* De Jongh was injure during the match after scoring virtually no points. He is likely to be out of the game for the next couple of weeks.
* As per normal Vorster had a top class game and when he went off injured, he was replaced by Hanekom who was tops himself as well. Jordaan came from the bench in the Sharks game and scored the best try scored by any of the teams this weekend when through speed and strength he beat three defenders with ease. So watch out for him as well.
* Watch out for Marx and Thomas Du Toit in future.
Round 3 is a more difficult round to predict what will happen:-
* EP Kings against the Pumas. The {umas will win this one - so watch out for Schoeman as a loosie.
* Griquas and Cheetahs game - not much to crow about here. I would say keep clear of this one because there may be too many one-match wonders in the teams
* Sharks vs Golden Lions - this one is a easy match for the Lions - so keep as many Lions top ranked players as possible in the team
* Bulls vs Stormers - Not sure about this one - but would stick with the majority of players of both teams I have at present in my squad. Catrakilis may bounce back, but I think the better bet would be Joe Pietersen.
