I feel your pain. Resting players has caught me out a bit this week. Waiting to see the Chiefs team before I decide which way to go. Have to trade Oosthheizen, Arnold and Kurindrani. Praying Cruden is playing otherwise some serious rethinking will be in order. Folou back to captain after the horse has bolted. We leave my team announcement until just before kickoff.

Luke
I am afraid Reinach is to be rested as well and Savea is not in the Hurricanes team already announced. Have you used your Wildcard already?
So far of the players listed by you only six are certain starters in terms of teams already announced. In terms of teams already announced or comments from the franchises = two players are definitely not playing (Savea and Reinach). And Labuschagne has a "nasal fracture" and he might also not play.
I am hanging on at present - but the remaining team announcements may force my hand. I am in trouble at lock - if Ruan Botha is not starting for the Stormers and if Labuschagne does not start. Have to replace my scrummie as a result of the Brumbies bye. Maybe - The Crusaders may start with Drummond as their scrummie.
For the rest I do not really foresee a problem.
26 Mar 2015, 03:07#5
You mean Ardie Savea right? You better haha. J Savea is starting. If Reinach and Labuchange is not playing. Well then I am screwed lol. I don't have a back rower replacement tbh. Nic Groom is on my bench. But I would prefer picking players who I know well score well, not be forced into playing someone because I have no choice. But it is what it is.

Sorry about the issue - but neither of the Saveas are on the team list provided by the Hurricanes - have a look at the Hurricanes team as indicated in the team list. I think that Lowe is not in the Chiefs team either - not even on the bench,
Luke I feel for you - but this is cruel. Have you used your Wildcard already?
26 Mar 2015, 07:24#7
Yes I have unfortunately. Have to decide what amount of players are more important.

I have a problem as well. At this stage I am 2 locks short, 2 loosies as well (if Labuschagne is out) and a scrummie.
So I am waiting for the Bulls team announcement with trepidation. If Labuschagne is in - I will go for 1 lock, 1 loosie and change my scrummie.
In the alternative I can use my wildcard this week - something I am extremely reluctant to do - since it would be much better to use it next week - with the large number of byes coming up.
For instance - if I use the WC next week I can select players for starting and put the favourite players from the bye's teams on the bench. While making sure that i can switch the players around when the next set of byes come up a week later. Both weeks are going to be difficult to handle in one go.

Luke's Canes are up against the Lightbringers this week. Luke, my advice would be to sell Israel Folau, buy Bismarck du Plessis and make Pieter-Steph du Toit your captain for this round .
Good luck!

Thanx SBW and Vincent Koch are starting,..... I would have played with a man or two down otherwise. This was very close, I thought SBW was going to be rested after his concussion and against a weakened cheetahs team.
This season the bench is gonna be needed more than ever with the internationals being rested for the RWC.
The next 2 weeks, with 4 transfers each one, are gonna be crucial to form a complete team with a good bench for the rest of the seasoin to come. Btwin rounds 10 and 18 many players are going to be rested

I have a very weak bench so I can have good starters - risky yes. This week I have 1 trade left & no starter for two positions. I may reverse trades for this week & start again but this may not solve the problem. I may have to go with 14 players. Some players don't score much anyway

ABF
I have a terrible choice. I have not used my Wildcard yet - but am strongly in favour of that move next week. So I am in real deep trouble this week. I have a lock and has only one bench lock in place - so in fact I am one player short - or at best half a player short short.
Besides that I have only Drummond as a scrummie and he is on the Crusaders bench - so at best I am 1 to 1,5 players short this week.
I was completely buggered by the bye of the Brumbies and the resting of players. That destroyed me this round.
My squad looks like this at present:-
PR - S Kitshoff, S Peku Bench : C Oosthuizen
HO - J Parsons Bench : H Elliott
LO - G Hatting, L Romano Bench : R Botha
BR - M Hooper, W Whitely, D Shields Bench : M Coetzee
SC - M Drumond Bench : N White
FH - H Pollard Bench : W du Plessis
CE - M Harris, D de Allende Bench : M Fekitoa
OB - I Folau, W Maholo, J Kriel Bench : J Savea
If with that lot I get 350 points this week - I will jump over the front wall of my house easy as pie - at 72 no chance of that. I will struggle this week - but will hopefully be better off in future. The 6 byes in Rounds 8 and 9 and further resting of players, injuries and selections will make it very difficult in future - but I did not want to use my WC before next week - when things will be clearer and the juggling of selections easier.
So here goes with 13 players - plus 2 bench players with say 40 minutes for this Round - not a nice muddle to be in.

Sasue
I wish you luck - as mentioned my lock problems are bedeviling me and there are way to many players rested and injured. Have you used your wildcard yet?
Cruden and Williams should do well against the Cheethas. Your team looks strong and I am happy for your sake.
Looking at your team - you have the following players on byes:-
Round 8
Dixon, Cowan, Hooper, Wheeler, Naholo and Folau
Round 9
Matou, Cruden, Harris and SBW
Hope you are well covered on your bench - since that makes 10 certain changes over the next two weeks - to which must be added team changes, injuries, etc.
It will be fine to have your WC available - otherwise it is not looking nice at face value and without knowing your bench.

Luke, I know you only have an IQ of 3 but please note that according to the Gameday stats at Foxsport you have Victor Vito as a loosie and not Warren Whiteley.
Vito is scoring pretty well . . . he was on 22 points at half-time.

Yeah I know mate I changed it . Got me a good 30 odd. On 79-0 atm. But of course you have a full team. So I expect that to change.

My kids eneded up with no captain ,why the bench player cant score the points is beyond me .Useless foxsport take their damn time with team line ups and my daughters dragged me along on a wee shopping spree at Dads expense leaving me with mere minutes to re-check selections for everyone .
