I am really looking forward to the Boks playing......for once its a side that gives me hope......its been a long road

Better ... lots of room for improvement though.
Get rid of Beast and Jannie. Coenie to be shot at dawn.
Get rid of Louw and Schalk.
Same goes for Pienaar, JP and Habana.
I will be watching Kriel carefully tomorrow, Dave ... hope to see what you see in the lad.

get rid of schalk? lol
The rest i agree with. Slouw isnt quick enough to consistnelt compete in an open game.
Pienaar.... no comment
Habana, ok i disagree here too!
Beast... getting tired of hoping
Jannie.... go be a doctor

cc wake up!!!!!! Burger is one of the first names one would put on the team. Louw was very good against Samoa.I thought Meyer could have started with Trevor and Malherbe.HAve Beast and Jannie on the bench.
However this is like snapster said one of the better sides selected by Meyer. One heck of a pack and a very nice backline.Scotland are in for a very hard time.
This side can win the RWC. However there is a while to go and hopefully injuries will not derail us. One hopes wee matfield's hamstring mends but very slowly - like after the RWC is over. His return to th e side could end our campaign as playing a tight 4 against top sides will be extremely risky.Habana and JP on his current form are our wings! Man ou cc has no clue!

This is ridiculous, so now we must dump our best performing loose forward? And our best performing wings who have shored up the back three? What's next? Go back to Lambie?

The barking dogs reversing faster than the Italian army in WW2. Changing just two of our best players has given Dave, Carbuncle and HasBeenou hope...no even more, ...belief. Funny stuff from the mental midgets.

The one player where a change was long overdue was Matfield - he was consistently the great saboteur in the Boks Tight 5 - physically incapable to perform. Jannie is another problem - but that is for the future.
I think the captaincy loss is a bad thing for the Boks - but from a performance perspective De Villiers was not really up to standard after his injury last year. He was desperately poor in the Argentina test in Durban and also against the Japanese, while against the Samoans he looked better when playing outside of De Allende.
Two of our best reputation players - definitely not two of the players based on present performance.

I was not in favour of Jean playing 13, but he deserves a lot of credit because that performance against Samoa was immense. Jeans experience, combined with that of JP and Habana, went a long way to blunting what was a dangerous Samoan side in the first half an hour.

It's really quite pleasant to see Saffex happy for a change...afterall we watch rugby to enjoy...not to make us miserable

Schalk is done. He has been for some time now.
He's not our best 6 ... he's not our best 8 and he's not a 7 at all ... so why continue with him?
Yes, apart from Duane, he may be the best of the sorry lot currently in England but that I'm afraid is as far as it goes.
We have better stocks at home.
He runs around like a chicken without a head, looking busy, but how effective is he?
He goes into contact too damn high and ends up hitting the deck with ball in hand never crossing the gain line and stifling our momentum.
Our best loosie??? Yeah right.
He's part of the dead wood that needs to be cut away pronto!
Time to move on.

Moffie you need to learn to count last I checked we have seen the back of 2 of our biggest liabilities in Jean and Matfield. Not to mention Bismark in for Strauss....so I make that 3 changes.
Hope comes in the flavour of not the number of changes but in the who.
Our side no longer has its weakest links. Gone is the donkey in the backs who stifled any hint of an attack....but more importantly is the thankful loss of our physical liability in the engine room. For once we have two real locks in the side. Not a little show pony who spends his time trying to be a centre.
It only took these two changes to put a smile on my face. Kriel vs Jean and Lood vs Vic is just a no brainer. I am easily pleased.
Go Bokke

Kriel has a lot to prove, and will be under pressure with Damian inside him. We need a more experienced 13.
