Sean Fitzpatrick to commentate Rugby World Cup; old foe misses out

All Blacks legend Sean Fitzpatrick has gained a place on the official Rugby World Cup broadcasting team but his old England adversary Brian Moore is fuming at missing out because he's "too controversial".
England-based Fitzpatrick is the only New Zealander on the illustrious panel named by right holders ITV Sport who will be the UK and worldwide host broadcaster.
There's a real local feel to the tournament hosted by England in September and October with England's 2003 World Cup heroes Sir Clvie Woodward, Jonny Wilkinson, Lawrence Dallaglio and Jason Robinson among the studio pundits.
Others include former Wallabies skipper George Gregan, former Wales captain Gareth Thomas, Irish great Brian O'Driscoll, ex Wallaby Michael Lynagh, South Africa's 1995 winning skipper Francois Pienaar and former British and Irish Lions and Scotland coach Sir Ian McGeechan.
Scott Hastings, Ben Kay, Shane Williams and England women's World Cup winner Maggie Alphonsi are also part of a massive team announced for news, commentary and sideline work.
But there's no place for Moore, the outspoken former English hooker, who airs his views on the BBC and in print via a regular column with the Telegraph newspaper and lively social media accounts.
He took to twitter to air his disgust at missing out on the big party in his backyard: "I've been told I'm too controversial for TV World Cup coverage; too crap I could take but controversial - bollocks."
Sky Television has secured New Zealand broadcast rights for the tournament, but non-subscribers will be able to see every All Blacks match on the free-to-air Prime channel.
No details of the New Zealand commentary team have been announced.
The All Blacks, defending champions after winning their second title at home in 2011, are drawn in the same pool as Argentina, Tonga, Georgia and Namibia.
