1) Lomp waves his arms while a Bargie flops over for a try in front of him.
2) Lomp misses Kaino in no space getting palmed off by a man 30 lbs lighter and views the try from an ignominious position on the deck.
3) Jesse Kriel gets his worst nightmare....a tackle on a Japanese player to avoid a loss.....and flubs it!
4) Lambie comes on against Japan to steady the ship and sinks it.
5) Stephanie gets chosen to play flank and comes on as a sub against Wales missing 40% of his tackles at a critical time.

Why not be honest for once old fart and talk us through useless Vic costing us the semi with his penalty turnover


That alone is the worst moment of our WC.......the very moment that cost us our most important game of the past 4 years


Worst moment by any player in the whole WC was Vic's moment of stupidity

You mean Man of the Match against the Bargies Victor? Nope that was a poor call offset by Lambie's penalty 5 minutes later. It had no effect on the game, NZ scored no points in the interim. Vic should have started, that was HM's biggest mistake.

No I mean the player that cost us the semi, the match that counted.


There was no way in hell Vic was MOM against the Argies......that would have to go to Malherebe.


Vic was utterly useless this whole year, culminating in the old fool costing us the semi.....I will forever remember him for that moment of stupidity


There is no greater sin than costing us the WC semi through plain stupidity.


Useless Vic should not have smelt the WC squad......he should not have even made the Bulls match day 23......utterly useless and a complete fool. Experience my arse


Easily the worst moment by any player at the WC.....it does not come worse than losing a semi for your side.

Moffie believes that the reading of Frank Herbert's young-adult novel "Dune" . . . along with the abilty to integrate x squared . . . proves one's intelligence. Probably the only book he's ever read and the only bit of maths homework he ever got right.
Dune wasn't nearly as cerebral as Moffie likes to think, but it was quite an entertaining read . . . and Sting (yes, the singer from The Police) made it a memorable movie with the one scene where he crushed a cute little bug in a blender and drank it . . . but the sequels were rubbish . . . nearly as bad as the Highlander sequels!
(Cue some nonsensical rubbish about me not understanding the deeper meaning of Dune when I actually know it a lot better than the forum's pseudo-intellectual literary poser.)

 Never read the Dune thing, but know enough about it not to be that interested. I like the genre, but something feels off, like it did with LOTR and Harry Potter....having said that, I've downloaded  Ivanhoe in will give it a go over the holidays.

 Dune is a spectacular piece of imagination...all the Frank Herbert books are brilliant. The sequels and prequels, all of which I have read, are great fun if not as deep.
There is no comparison between Dune which is totally adult and Harry Potter which is a kids book on steroids.

 Dune ,Foundation Trilogy and ,Hyperion have long been favourites of mine .Even the Dune novels written after his death are OK .Acttually all on that list would do me on a desert island .So the Boks would be house Harkonnen then ? ABs Atreiades rolls off the tongue just fine .But the Bene Gessserit first XV has a pretty persuasive line up .Moz you like to whack those wee white balls around nicely manicured grass doncha ?If you want to spice it up a bit my local course [Carbrook]has teeth as it were ,a  wee lake as a water hazard complete with 3m bullsharks ! Last time I played there at least a half dozen from 2 1/2 m to 3m in length were in residence and breeding !I havent played in a while but I think they're still there ,and no fishing allowed either !

Pretty wild...I have heard of crocs on the Game reserve courses...but never Bull Sharks. A course that favours the straight hitter methinks. 
As for Dune I'm glad you also like the new ones....a very decent series. The way the whole th ing ties together is awesome.

 I've read and liked some of Orson Scott Card's stuff. Liked the Pathfinder better than Ender. Hyperion looks good. Might still give Dune a go.
