I noticed though that your team has actually lost value. It took me a few weeks to figure it out when I first started playing, but the values of players adjusts daily - you can access the values in the player price history tab on the player profile page.
If you know you're going to drop a player for the next week because of a bye or poor performance, it is best to do it the day that lineups lock for the current round. If you wait to drop him until later in the week once you know who you're going to sub him with, the value will inevitably drop especially if the player is on a bye.
For instance, Mostert has lost $70k and Whiteley $32.5k since the round locked this past Friday morning as other players have been dropping them.
Its also important to get a player into your team as soon as possible, preferrably as soon as the lineup for that team comes out, so you can capitalize on any value increases.
Building your team value will enable you to purchase any player you want in the later rounds, regardless of price.
