Cheers Mikey !
I hope our lot does well collectively too .Think I will just buy in any cheap up and comers that are available rather than re-treaded low scorers from last year eh ?Who knows might pick up afew bucks to buy upwards !

Why is it that after I've selected my team ... and saved ... I have to go through the whole process again?
I'll return an hour later to discover that I no longer have a team in place. Is that normal?
It takes Fox Sport 5 days to respond to a simple email and then it's as though they can't understand English.
there's no need of saving the team,... once the team is complete, with the 23 players selected, it's automatically saved,... or at least that's what happens in my computer
the only thing you have to do is to be sure that you select the 23 players an then the team is automat ically saved,... if you drop one player and then close the program or the computer you lose your team and have to build it again,... but if you have the 23 palyers each time you quit the program it will keep your team
CleanCut I would advise to spend your dough on the expensive NZ Backs. And try find some cheap forwards with good value. Alex Fidow from the Canes is a good prospect. Ricateli is cheap at 200k and is good value for money. L Squire is only 180k. And his value is bound to increase of his All Black end of year season. This is my team atm. In case anyone wants a gauge. As far as strategy goes. With your bench its best to have mostly starters. Bench is only their for injuries or when a team has a bye. IT is best too not to have two players from the same team. Causes problems come bye week. It mostly is luck of the draw partic in the first round. Your captain scores double. So luck their too. I Also think it is prudent to have variety in your team across all teams.

WTF? Has anyone had their team vanish ?
Bugger.
Hey Luke , sound strategy mate ! I pick mainly the players I know which means mostly Kiwis I guess.
Yeah a few times I logged in and my team vanished lol. Just had to re do my team.
And yeah I have 10 kiwis in my starting line up. Statistically they are the best players. Partic in the backs. Got about 5 SA.

3ku1 ... that's a solid team. Thanks for the advice.
Appreciate it.
I agree with Wardad ... that is good advice and I intend using it with a little CleanCut twist to make it my own.
Abasquefan - thanks man. I am so ready to play this game you won't believe it. For some reason I find myself rather excited about it and would be very disappointed if I'm unable to challenge you and the rest of the boys.
I hope to give you guys a run for your money.
I have checked - the Ruckers Forum 1 Pool is the second biggest pool in the comp at present - there is at present pool with 31 members ahead of us.
However, the membership may change - there are 13 more days to go, In the past the Foxsport competition has had between 13 000 and 17 000 participants and the figure at this stage seems to be around 1000 and 1500 members - so hold your hat - things are going to change within the nexct 14 days.
The Head-to-Head Leagues are also filling up, My original suggestion was that members who could not get into the Ruckers Forun 2 Pool should join the Itchy Oblong Balls Pool - but that is also filled up.
I have later on advised members to consider using the following if they cannot get into the afore-mentioned two Head-to-Head Pools they could try the following two Pools:-
* KB's Super Fantasy Cup
* Michaels League
However, KBSFC only has ONE vacancy by now and ML only has FOUR,
At the rate things are going the above Pools are likely to be fully subscribed soon and I will then have to look for another Pool if some of our site members still have to join the stampede.
Mike ... you've been an absolute champion with this.
Thank you for your effort.
I cant wait for it to start.
My wife asked me the other day why my hand was shaking ... I could only put it down to Fantasy Rugby withdrawals ... so I'm desperate to get my fix.
Go Giants!!

Be careful and do not leave out players like Marx, Kwagga and Rohan Janse van Rensburg out of your selection. The fact is that one must take into consideration the strength of the teams as well.
Kwagga is very expensive and besides that his average doesn't compete with many cheaper players.
Not sure it's wise to tie up so much coin on a player that doesn't give you competitive returns. I realize that he may play to his potential and thus produce high scores ... but ... there are greater producers to consider from the Lions ... such as Whiteley and Jaco Kriel. It's been suggested that I not select more than a single player from a team to each position. I still need to get my head around that as some teams play several matches before their first bye and so doubling up here and there wouldn't be such a trains smash.
I noticed something about the various positions and have formatted my strategy around it. I hope it pays off.
