Foxsport Fantasy - Round 8

With nothing much to do this afternoon - it is humid and unpleasant here - I took a hard look at the Foxsport point results for the two matches this morning to see what top expect from this Round.

COMMENTS

1   One member had Harris as Captain and three members had Savea.  Both players scored provisionally 37 and 31 points respectively - which points were duly doubled and included in the total point tallies of the members concerned.

2.  Since their captains is yet to play - 5 members have been credited with double points, since their VC's has played and their Captains are still to play.  The additional points were granted for Conrad Smith (i member), Savea (3 members), Matu'u (one member).   Once their captains has played to additional points granted iro of the VC's will be reduced.

There were some really poor point scorers thus far - to name some Conrad Smith,  Goodes, Vito, Kolisi and Kolbe - all below 16 points per player.

I essence taking into consideration the number of players used thus far and the high scores attained by most selected players - as well as the fact that most of the members captains have not played as yet -  it is clear that if the present  trend continues, the scores this weekend will be high. 

Most of the members placed a very high emphasis on the first two games tomorrow and it would be interesting to see how the points are after those two games have been played.           

 2 of the 3 players I selected were injured, i.e. Victor Vito early in the game and Cooper later in his game. My luck has to change

I think that Vito is a top class player and his injury cost you dearly.   However, I would never have used Goodes as a prop and neither Conrad Smith as a center  in a game of this nature.   Smith never is a good option in fantasy rugby selection anyway - and the NZ props are generally problematic as well.

I think this was the worse our League  has done this year and hopefully we can only do better.   This far it was an unmitigated disaster.   Virtually all the top point scoring players went nowhere and those who were at the bottom scored well.
Just think about it - Cruden scored a measly 7 points today - Whiteley was not much better and Nadolo scored 22 points.   
Lets hope there are some score adjustments still to be done - otherwise our League will take a serious drop in competitiveness.

 I did poorly this week also. Looks like I beat my competitor in the SC cup final though so I could still be alive there.
I can't see an of the other live scores so I hope one of you updates them on this thread.

Low scores this week for everybody but it seems that mike's use of his wildcard made him be the first.
SBW's drop at last hour (having a bye my other center on the bench) made me lose some points both in Foxsport and Superbru, but I supose that many people is in the same boat. It's annoying when it happens

 Abasquefan: thanks for posting the results. They are still changing mine is at 349 at the moment. The audit will follow on Monday so the final scores will be different.
I am well ahead of my SC cup opponent so I should still be in that comp. I will lose against Juciers in the head-to-head.
If scores don't change a lot this week will be low scoring. Some more may break 400 but few or none will break 500.
Weird round for me: Vito injured early; SBW withdraws late; Reid subbed early.; Cooper injured take off early; Nadolo yellow carded for a stupid move on his part but as he was my captain it cost me... Next week will be better
