There has been massive point changes and the scores arew in most cases substantially down from what they were. The combined stats are as follows:
Total points = 6644
Average per member = 443
That is a huge improvement on Round 8 when we managed only an average of 370.
back to my captaincy story - I am a village idiot. At the last minute - thinking that the Brumbies would win and the Waratahs might not have a field day against the Stormers - I changed my captaincy from Folau to Leali'ifano. By doing what I did I lost 66 points in the process. Madness on my part.
I think next round I will have to get Pollard back at all costs and also review the Savea situation. Like Skudder-Milner as a cheaper option. Will also have to look at the Warren Whiteley issue as well. So my changes are likely to be Warren Whiteley for Cane, Savea for Skudder-Milner and Leali'ifano for Pollard - that is if I can afford those changes. Pollard is very, very expensive.
At least I am happier about the Dream Team - NZ Herald competition. I am the only member of that League who got over 400 points - in fact 401 points. My nearest rival has at this stage 354 points. All the other 14 members of the league have less than 260 points. Guess what - my Captain in that competition was Folau.
