The shirt was a replica of the one France first played England in 120 years ago.

Well, look how we can play if we don’t just kick the blooming ball all match long. Who knew keeping the ball in hand would pay dividends ? ( Well, a certain Coach didn’t know…..)

Shame we lost. We should’ve played that way throughout the whole tournament.

It’s certainly been a crazy 6 Nations. Even the trophy got burnt in Ireland and is now ruined !

That was the game of the year.

...and I doubt any game for the rest of the year will come close.

Well Becs, glad you explained it. I must say, even though I didn't mention it during the match, being a man of decorum who realized the significance of the occasion I obviously thought it inappropriate to make a hullabaloo about such a matter at such a time, integrity now moves me to express myself clearly on the issue, that the lack of contrast in kit indeed irked me more than the slightest and to the extent that now, not even a day after the event, I have to finally bare my heart about it.

On a serious note though, surely England should have defaulted to their away kit to accommodate the French kit? It was, after all, an away game for them.

I think France wanted to recreate the initial game, so both teams were to wear their original colours.

I didn’t find it too difficult actually.

Typical French nonsense. It got better as the game went on and I got into it, but there were still times on the wide shots when it looked like every French pass was going to a white jersey. But anyway, it was what it was.

I wish every French pass had gone to an England player !
