The Boks are far from being in a good position. We don't have a test quality halfback pairing, we aren't featuring a test quality loose trio and even against Wales, we were exposed structurally quite a number of times. Wales simply didn't have the synergy to punish it.
Go Boks!
So what you are saying is that we should just keep b umbling around and hoping to have teams literally hand us the ball, and flop off tackles easily, whilst gifting us free space as we cannot create anything? Doesn't sound convincing to me.
So a loss against us will be a utter disaster for your lot then?
I for one aren't reading anything into this game which ever way it goes.
RWC is a whole different beast, this is like a pre season Super rugby game, means nothing (apart from bragging rights).
True but what do you read into a loss?
It’s Friday night, Mpower.
If you play on Saturday you’ll be getting in amongst England vs Fiji
Anytime, Mpower
Just been laughing at the thought of four teams trying to play at once !
We are looking about performance. Context is key. We haven't played good rugby this year. That's a problem. What good is a warm-up test, if you don't take a step forward. The more games we play, the more confused our coaches appear to be. We have shown no development in our game, at all. New Zealand tends to test out ideas in their last few games of a World Cup. It's lead Australia twice into believing they were better than they were.
No, I would not. A thorough review of the game would reveal quite clearly that we showed no improvement and exhibited many vulnerabilities. As predicted. I'm not a casual Mpower.
when we beat the AB at home before the 2019 WC, it did a lot for our Confidence
I don't think it did anything at all. We ended the year with a worse record than before, played poorly throughout 2019, and actually lost comfortably to New Zealand in the pool stages, which dropped us to 6th in the rankings. The final itself was the only convincing part of the entire 2019 season, aside from Esterhuizen's masterclass in shackling Australia.
We played the worst All Black and Wallaby sides of all time, a predictably patchy Puma side, and the worst Welsh effort since the late 90s. What exactly does that say? And to add insult to injury, we haven't played any good rugby at all. The 2002 and 2003 sides would have fared better. This is the worst Bok side that has gone to a world cup.
Not really Mpower. They grew in confidence in that game, and they exposed us horribly in that second half in particular, but this All Black side is statistically the worst of all tine.
