 Indeed, Saff. Specially if you bear in mind the current flaws in his technique. Don't know if you watched the discussions by Micheal Johnson during the heats. Also bear in mind that Gatlin currently has a near flawless technique and is current in the best form that he could be in and Bolt still  beat him.

 Great to see that someone can win when clean as opposed to those cheating USA topped up druggies.
Bolt is class pure class........

No just saw him speaking about struggling with his starts and how he has struggled all season.
Bolt has huge BMT.
Bolt was behind Gatlin for which looked like at least 80% of the race.

 Bolt basically stuffed up both his heats. He had the fourth fast time, IIRC, going into the final. His last heat was shambolic with he nearly tripping/falling just after the start. His shoulders aren't stable when he runs and neither are his hips. He seems to throw his shoulders from side to side and his strides are all over the place as well. Even in the final, his technique was anything to write home about. The drug cheat had a near perfect final and was still beaten by Bolt.

Few noticed. This was once again the Bolt show, even as the world doubted him, even as his own struggles this summer continued in a semi-final when he stumbled and almost fell.

Reigning Olympic and world champion Bolt had struggled for form throughout 2015, with his best time of the year coming into the final a run of 9.87secs at London's Anniversary Games in July.

"This means a lot because I've been struggling all season, it's taken me a while to work things out," Bolt told BBC Sport.

"It's been up and down but it's OK now."

Gatlin lost his form in his last few strides when he seemed to dip too early for the line....it threw his balance a little and that was all Bolts pure pace needed to pip him at the end.
A true champion...I was so happy that he won. Did not see it live as was wasting my time on the cricket field in the rain. Lost the toss fielded first and rain won the day....grrrrr  

 Absolutely Saffex, great to see the big man win this. It's a victory for sport in general when you look at Gatlin's previous doping.And that's interesting ceradyne! Cheers for that

After watching the heats it was hard to see Bolt pulling it off. Greatest sprinter ever and an enjoyable character. Gatlin  ran a great race and was gracious in his interview...good stuff all round.

 The man is a freak, special, from a different planet , a few weeks ago I'd written him off but what a lovely return to form....good on him. I thought Carl Lewis was the most fluent and perfect in technique, Bolt the most powerful, combine the two and that will be the next superstar......maybe not in our lifetime though.

 I also enjoyed watching Carl Lewis. I couldn't believe his loss to the Canadian  cheat Ben Johnson....turned out he he'd been drinking steroid sodas.

Carl Lewis clean......by American standards perhaps.Flow Jo was another wonder with a large bit of help from a juice.
Oh and I am sure Armstrong was also clean by USA standards.
The American's are making East German's from the 1950/60's look like real clowns with their "BEN-ZINE" additive performances in sport today.
The term BENZINE originates from the Seoul Olympics when Ben-Zine Johnson was caught out cheating.
Sure he was stripped of the Gold medal but he still drives around Toronto in a very expensive car and has buckets of money from his cheating running days.......just like many other sporting cheats.
Shame on them.

What I stated was that Armstrong was just one more of many American sportsman/women who have broken records and won medals while using performance enhancing illegal chemicals.
