i love how pathetic others look in trying to win a rugby argument by bringing up the cricket and boat racing, its a classic, :oD

@siones uncles BIFF,

"Sasuke, would the Kiwi's have won under these conditions? Playing 30 mins of 7's rugby an hour before the game, some key players not able to suit up due to injury, landing less than 48 hours before their first game coming from SA and losing in the semi's so really playing the game you really didn't wana be in"
OMG ur whinny baby, start a facebook page and tell someone who gives a fuck, cos i dont care about ur 1,000,000 excuses for every loss a SA team suffers.
NZ 7s are No1 and were going to win the 7s world series again just like we did the 11 other times.

it fills me with disgust to read ur posts siones uncles BIFF, the pitiful excuses only add to the credibility of ur character as whole.
work on improving that image, cos its obvious ur rugby teams are never going to help u,

 Sas, giving context is not always an excuse.  You get discussed too easily. We all know it was our own stupid logistics to arrive too late, but it was still a valid reason for a bit of under performance. No one is saying we would have won if it wasn't for that and such comments take nothing away from the eventual winners.

 Draad please get your logic right. If a team has to play against an exhausted team it does take away from the win - ditto when you play 14 men for 50 minutes due to a very bad ref error.Dont be bullied by ou saSUE getting all petulant.

 @judge draad,

ur spot on there judge draad, but giving context and then insinuating other teams wouldnt have fared any better under the circumstances and given that the character of siones imaginary uncles BFF who is a known whiner, makes it impossible to think of it as nothing other then ur average saffa rugby fan crying 'again'.
we are after all talking about a person who credits the All Blacks success to referees  and nothing else, and who suggested that the All Blacks used banned substances cos someone said so and showed him pictures of an overweight sione lauaki,

be that as it may, everyones entitled to their opinion, what i do know is that when any team wins, u will find that the bulk of the kiwis will come out and congratulate the winners, while others will dive straight into the logistics of how it all went wrong.
nothing wrong with not congratulating mind u, after all some are more classy then others and in NZers case, i guess were just use to the proper etiquette that follows after a win,

FYI, it was a very valid reason for under preforming, and i doubt any team could do much under the circumstances.
buuuuuut, if any team could, it would prob be the NZ 7s team, we are after all the undisputed 7s rugby masters of the universe powered by greyskull,

 "...I've spent many an hour in the Gym with Rugby players including a fair few Internationals of varying nationalities."

Yeah, I can imagine!!!

"...regardless of factors that were affecting every team out there that weekend."

So, every team out there played a 30 minute semi-final approximately one hour before they had their final matches...
Even the Aussies with the added motivation of being in the final only lasted three (3) minutes... And they had an ex tra 20 minutes recovery time...
