Groomed and rapped was even worse What makes it more interesting is that the actor is the real life victim

Absolutely. I just couldn’t see why he kept going back to him.

I know he is. And the real life Martha has been outed and is proceeding to try and take him and Netflix to court !

Anybody watched Frasier…..a 1990’s comedy based around a radio psychologist in Seattle. There are a gazzillion episodes with some delightful whimsy. Each episode is only 20 minutes, a perfect night cap, sending you to bed with a chuckle.

I think your dad would enjoy it becs.

The screen  writer manages to capture a complete plot in 20 minutes, with some great characters, including a brilliant dog and an English health care worker. The dad is an injured cop as down to earth as you’d expect…..and his two sons are snobbish psychologists. The interplay is consistently funny.

Frasier was hilarious. It's still just as funny today. Was watching comedy clips from the 80s the other day and Golden Girls popped onto my feed. Also still hilarious. Perhaps I'm anti comedy or something but I find Frasier and Golden Girls to be far funnier than Seinfeld.

We clearly don't all have the same tastes.

Frasier isn't a bad show but it's not particularly good. I do like the character Niles and the whole relationship with Maris. We never ever see Maris but she's a great character all the same. We know from Niles' references that she's a lot wealthier than him, she's spoilt, domineering and neurotic. The fact that her character is so well developed without us ever seeing her is one of the redeeming features of an otherwise rather average show.

Frasier himself is okay but probably not as funny as the original Frasier when he appeared in Cheers, but the supporting characters like Roz, Daphne and Martin are a bit weak.

Cheers was a great show in it's day . . . I particularly liked the Cliff Clavin character . . . but it hasn't aged well. It used to me my favourite show in its day but when I watch the re-runs many years later I find myself wondering why I liked it so much. Seinfeld is the opposite. When I watch re-runs I find it just as relevant, witty and clever. For me Seinfeld is the best of the American TV comedy series.

I also liked Two and a Half Men but like many others who've mentioned it on this thread, I stopped watching it soon after Charlie Sheen got canned.

Fawlty Towers is probably the funniest TV series I've ever watched and it doesn't seem to age even though it's very old and out of date. I just wish they'd made more of them.

The Fawlty Towers scene that gets me chuckling even when I think about it is when a difficult guest is complaining about the view and Basil asks her what she expects to see from a hotel in Torquay . . .

Yeah, it's pretty much Faulty Towers in first place and big gap between it and second place. Must say, I find Would I Lie To You to be hilarious too. The Brits can't be beaten for comedy.

Agreed you can’t beat Fawlty Towers - they we’re interviewing John Cleese and the actor who plays him in the theatre show He was saying that the show was originally not received well by the studios , they said it contained too much cliched humour and would not work. How ignorant they proved to be. Poor old John looks like he has suffered a stroke and did not look that well Simply brilliant

Another show that I enjoy is What We Do In The Shadows. It's a piss take on the vampire genre and bloody funny. All the vampires are complete narcissists with a cacophony of social disorders. If you haven't seen it, I strongly recommend giving it a watch.
