It's just ridiculous. It's okay to insult certain members of society but not others? And on a rugby field for Pete's sake! What's next . . . bleating at the ref because an opposition player called you an ugly f*ck?

Irrespective of the feelings of members on this site - this kind of behaviour is just not acceptable as is evident from the following report on the issue:-
"The Australian Rugby Union has fined Waratahs' Jacques Potgieter AU$20,000 (with AU$10,000 suspended), following an incident during Sunday’s match against the Brumbies. Potgieter admitted making comments contrary to the Australian Rugby Union’s Inclusion Policy. He will also be required to undergo additional educational and awareness training. The sanction was determined following an investigation by the ARU’s Integrity Unit, after the matter was referred to the ARU by SANZAR on Monday. The incident follows the endorsement of an ARU Inclusion Policy in August 2014, which is designed to stamp out all forms of discrimination and homophobia in Rugby. ARU CEO Bill Pulver said: “We take the issue of homophobia in sport seriously and want to provide a positive environment for everyone involved in rugby. "Comments of this nature cannot be tolerated.” “Our Inclusion Policy reinforces Australian Rugby’s commitment to ensure every individual, whether they’re players, supporters, coaches or administrators, feel safe, welcome and included regardless of race, gender or sexuality.
I’d like to stress again that there is absolutely no place for homophobia or any form of discrimination in our game and our actions and words on and off the field must reflect that.” Potgieter expressed remorse over the incident, and apologised for any harm caused by his remarks. “I’m very sorry for any offence caused by what I said on the field during a heated encounter,” Potgieter said. “It was an offhand remark made without thought for the hurt it could cause to those around me.” Waratahs Rugby CEO Greg Harris said the incident was unfortunate, given the efforts of the sport to be an inclusive environment. “Jacques made an error in judgement, despite having completed the ARU’s Integrity Training, which includes the Member Protection Policy around inclusion and racism,” Harris said. “Our players have been educated around the importance of respect and integrity on the field, and this incident was directly in conflict to these values. “There is no place for homophobia or any form of discrimination in our game and we have endeavoured as a club to embody these values on and off the field. “We pride ourselves on a strong culture, and this incident is by no means definitive of our collective identity as a football club.” Potgieter’s penalty relates to a breach of the ARU Code of Conduct, which prohibits homophobic or racist comments. The ARU, Waratahs, the Rugby Union Players’ Association (RUPA) and the player himself, have determined that the matter does not need to be heard by a Tribunal and accepted this penalty."
Problem here is that $10 000 is a heavy fine and there is also a further $10 000 suspended over Potgieter's head. It is just not allowed by the Aussies - who has a large homosexual population and even homosexual rugby teams in their set-up.

@cleancut
Not sure why he needs to come out and share.
Do you share your fantasies about your wife's sister?
Do you share publicly that you m@sturbate while watching your sisters 8th birthday party video from 1988 ?
Come on mate, whether he is straight or bent is his own choice.
Whether or not he wants to share his orientation with the public is also his choice.

At least I'm slobbering over my wife's sister ... not her brother.
Big difference, Chop!!
He o pened the door ... Potgieter stepped through ... now he's throwing a tantrum ... reckon the whoopsie never thought it through properly.

Racism needs to be stamped out, I get that! Racial slurs should be kept in the trailer park, but this is just getting silly! Next thing they are going to ban cursing all together because God forbid someone drop the "sh!t" bomb and offend some little crap in earshot!
The world is so worried about meaningless rubbish like this, but they'll happily ignore things like rampant corruption, murder, crime, hunger etc etc. All the things I have listed are fine, as long as you don't call an "educator" a teacher or a "challenge" an incompetent government failure. Some other pointless political correctness just off the top of my head that p!sses me off no end, waitron, learner, cabin crew.

"Do you share publicly that you m@sturbate while watching your sisters 8th birthday party video from 1988?"
How did you even think of that, Chip-ou? Something you'd like to tell us?
I don't care if David Pocock is gay or not, my problem is with him squealing like a little crybaby because someone called someone else a "faggot" on a rugby field.
Anyone who's played rugby, watches it on TV (or can lip read) knows the kind of language that is used on a rugby field. To turn a blind eye to references to someone's mother's anatomy or her sexual habits while getting all tearful when the relatively harmless word "faggot" is used is just pathetic. The fact that this has become an issue is further proof that political correctness is out of control.
I mean really, the fact that the Aussie Rugby Union has a thing called "Integrity Training, which includes the Member Protection Policy around Inclusion and Racism" is a joke in itself. This is rugby for heaven's sake, not cucumber sandwiches on the lawn with HRH the Queen of England.
Bunch of thin-skinned sensitive whiny faggots!

Sometimes a well placed comment or gesture can work wonders ... provoke a reaction and at times it's enough to upset the recipient and put him off his game for the rest of the match.
Bakkies had an interesting reaction after blowing an opponent a kiss. The poor soul was never in the match after that. Rattled ... t repid!!

You can't be against racism, but tolerant of homophobic slurs. Two sides of the same coin, intolerance of a group defined by something the insulter doesn't like. Often these slurs are supposedly just humour, but that assumes everybody shares your sense of humour.
There are plenty of things to joke about without becoming a crude homophobic cave man.

Wehe . . . so the racist and xenophobic Klansman who admitted to a board member that he left South Africa because he hated black people . . . and who wishes there was some kind of "final solution" to the "problem" of black people . . . this same small-minded supremacist is actually lecturing other people on tolerance?
You couldn't actually make some of this stuff up!
LMAO!

Seems like poor Jaque as surrounded by faggots!!!
Look it really matters not a dot what the ARU think or indeed what anybody thinks on thsi subject. All that matters is that homosexuality has been condemned by God in many a scripture and that is that dispite all the politically correct anti God cries that is not a perversion.
Its a sign of Satans work in twisting man's image - man was originally being made in the image ogf God.
Bad language is not needed and all foul mouthed cretins should zip it - theor fould language is not appreciated. In any case look how well I deal with the delusional kbbs without resorting to bad languiage. Hahahahahaahhahahahaha ou JW is kept on a tight leash!!!
