The stormers were out muscled. Stormers were the only SA team in the finals so stormers also let down SA rugby. Sure they were missing Vermeulen & Burger but was that the only reason? It was hard to believe they were the home team .

Llyeds has been exposed as terrible defender. The Brumbies targeted his corner. If a player is really small they need to be as good as Kolbe.

The game was lost because of a few very poor defensive lapses by Leyds, the hookers incredible over throwing of his jumpers, and the inadequacy of the whole back row. This team without Schalk and Vermeulen had no real belief. The scrum was the one bright spot, but only when the starting props were on. Malherbe had a fine scrumming game. De Allende was brilliant on attack, but his miss on kuridrani showed he still has that lingering vulnerability when stretched.
A very disappointing loss. But the Brumbies were tremendous.

the Brumbies weren't tremendous, they are a very average team. Last week they were very clearly beaten at home with a 4 try bonus point by the 4th NZ team this season, the saders.
Next week they are going to be hammered by the canes.
The Stormers were embarrassing. They constantly let enourmous gaps on the wing, the brumbies just have to move the ball through the backline till the wing and the breakline was made. Even against 13 they let huge gaps. Incredible.
The stormers backline, as the other SA backlines, are simply not competitive against aussie or kiwi backlines. The boks are going to have a huge problem this season with it.
Without Vermeulen and Burger the backrow sank and the forward pack was outplayed in the open game. The scrums were decent but the lineouts,........ I cannot remember a worst performance of a hooker throwing them,........ atrocious
what is very difficult to understand is why Coetzee didn't change him untill the 60th minute or so

Your normal attack on De Allende's defense - while you said nothing of the tackle misses of De Jongh. I believe that Kuridrani played at 13 - so where was his direct opponent when the tackle was missed by De Allende?
The defense problem was not confined to Leyds - De Jongh was hopeless as well. When I warned you about the selection of midgets - you came up with how brilliant De Jongh is at 13 on Super 15 level and how clever a player he is. Was he clever today as well or was he just AWOL in most of the match? When De Allende made his line breaks was De Jongh present to receive the passes? No he was absent.

Boks should be fine as their is depth when taking the best backline players from each team.
9. FDP/Faff10. Pollard/Lambie12. Delande/Serfontein13: JDV/JP/Vorster 14. Kolbe11. Habana15. Le Roux/Jessie Kriel
This is a good backline. Maybe a starting place for Kriel as the back three is pretty light.
The Boks scored allot of tries in the last 2 years of the Tri-nations. Kolbe would play better if he had players around him that can catch and pass.

I would not play JP at 13 - he has the pace of a slow carthorse - a very slow one at that. His defense was pretty hopeless and his attack near to zero. I think that the most effective 13 this year was Vorster of the Lions.
Unfortunately I think that Kolbe is physically too small to be effective against players like Savea and other big wings he will encounter in the RC and the WC. I would rather trust Senatla in that case. On the wing Combrinck stood out this year - was excellent on attack and more than adequate in defense.
By the way I cannot see Du Preez getting through the RC - his lack of match fitness will be exposed in the RC and if h has to play week after week he is not going to last.
