We have some of the best referees in the game at the moment. Why don't the Springboks use them as consultants to get a clearer insight into how referees interpret the laws, what offences they look out for, and even what lighter offences may be overlooked in the interest of letting the game flow? If there is a conflict of interest with referees currently plying their trade in international rugby, then use people like Andre Watson. I got the idea from a tweet by Jonathan Kaplan on the side of this page.
I know that different referees have different ways of applying the rules , but there must be a set of general guidelines and exceptions that are adhered to.
it may sound silly, but I think a lot could be gained out of it.

The rugby rule book is somewhat similar to the Bible, Koran etc in that it's open to interpretation and application.

Maybe we should expand our Springbok coaching team to include Kaplan, Ghandi, Jesus and Mohammed, and and Bryce Lawrence .

Thanks

Colossianchapter versus 13 to 20 He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, 14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. 15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. 16 For by Him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through Him and for Him. 17 And He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. 18 And He is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything He might be preeminent. 19 For in Him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell,
Jesus the Son of God created these guys. You dont have a clue who you are dealing with.

Blue,  im sure they do some extensive consultations with the refereeing fraternity,  but same as with players,  you can't plan for human error or "interpretation"

I know the NFL (American Football) teams do this, that is use referees to help their team get a sense of the rulings/laws.

Jw I am surprised an occassional scripture rattles a "praying" oak like you. I sense things arent as they appear to be. Beeno smelling a rat ! Anyone thinking we are dealing here only with human error has to be classified as a hatter first class. Lets call a spade a spade oaks and cheating cheating. Beeno as always drawing a straight line and holding the kbbs to strick account.

This thread is a very positive development. Glad the Boks realise they need someone to explain the rules to them  First lesson, infringements - while they are great fun - result in penalties and yellow & red cards.

Three consequetive red zone infringements by wee abs. Was that because the wee abs dont know the rules or were they just cheating as usual and hoping to get away with it?
Now that is quite a tricky question for the kbbs to negoitiate.
