Cooper is an awesome player.......more measured these days......skills to create like no other.....I am 100% behind Cheika on this one......pure class is Cooper.....that's the difference between Oz and NZ, they embrace the likes of Cooper, we instead find favour in useless plodders like Morne.....go figure

I cannot remember - but was Cooper not the Aussie flyhalf when they beat us in the WC in 2011 and in the Brisbane test in 2012 when we were destroyed in the game? Cooper is a thinking flyhalf - Morne Steyn is a robotic one. Huge difference between those two.

Talented player and as snapster says is maturing. Its worth a shot.

Tough one! He is talented, no denying that, but would any of you back him as your flyhalf in a World Cup final?

Yes without doubt I would.......I'd back him with one arm in plaster ahead of a useless 10 like Morne

Not so sure Saffman! But I must also admit, I have seen very little of him this year, so I may be unfairly judging him based on his hothead performances of the past. Reds games were not at the top of my to do list this year!

He does seem calmer this time around but like I have said before, he can win a game and just as readily loose one. Trust him in a WC final? Depends on which Quade turns up.

Cooper had very little game time this year because of injury, but when he did play he was a marked improvement in a sterile Reds backline. As Claydog said - it depends which Copper turns up on the day.
I must agree with Dave though - Cooper has ball sense and tries things - Morne Steyn lacks that and is clueless at best. Cooper is an international level player - Morne is not since he has one positive only - he is accurate in kicking at goal.

Its a great shame to see the poor sportmanship of the kbbs when it comes to poor Cooper. They just cant get over the loss of this guy to Oz!!

Beeno: yes we would rather he was given to the Boks. Kiwis are checking his family history to see if the has any claim to SA citizenship. We remain hopeful
