to the months leading upto the RC, to a time when the prophets of doom were squealing and squawking a truck load of misery meaning the Boks would lose by cricket scores.
Well, they haven't.
That the national coach was clueless and that he'd picked the wrong players...actually, what that means is that the national coach hadn't picked their players and that's why he was clueless.
What these mountain gorillas tend to overlook is that all our franchises had imploded at S15 level.
It's no fault of the national coach but they still expected him to win the RC.
Funny that one...it's ok for the franchises to play kak rugby, to disgrace themselves by having only one franchise qualify via the back door and then to see that franchise bundled out of the playoffs in no uncertain manner.
So there's that little parcel neatly wrapped lying at the feet of the national coach daring him to pick it up and to run with it and ingeniously win the RC.
Having failed to do so these same mountain gorillas further demand that he wins the WC.
Under the circumstances and based on the results of the past two weeks I think the national coach has done well.
There's an enormous amount of what could have been in this forum....generally hope and confidence has been restored.
The WC is an entirely different platform....it also doesn't favour reputation.
