The latest information given in the media states the following:-
* Matfield limped off the training session yesterday afternoon still suffering from a hamstring problem and is unlikely to make the team on Saturday.
* In an interview on TV De Allende said he is sure he will be ready to play on Saturday.
The team is to be announced at 18:00 today and that would mean after another training session - but at this stage I am saying that the team would likely be as follows:-
15 Willie le Roux14 JP Pietersen13 Jesse Kriel12 Damien de Allende11 Bryan Habana10 Handre Pollard 9 Fourie du Preez 8 Duane Vermeulen 7 Schalk Burger (c) 6 Francois Louw 5 Lood de Jager 4 Eben Etzebeth 3 Frans Malherbe 2 Adriaan Strauss 1 Tndai Mtawarira
16 Bismarck du Plessis17 Trevor Nyakane18 Jannie du Plessis/Coenie Oosthuizen19 Pieter-Steph du Toit20 Siya Kolisi21 Ruan Pienaar22 Patrick Lambie23 Jan Serfontein
I have no clarity on the injury to Jannie du Plessis but doubt whether he would play on Saturday hence the two bench names for the Tight 5.

Mike, I read in "Die Burger" that Lood asked Bissie to practise line-out throw ins after official practice. The two of them, PSDT and Malherbe practiced line-outs without the rest of the team. Bismarck might be starting again?

I Think Bismarck may start, but would not bank on it. From what Die Burger wrote it seems to me that it is virtually assured that Strauss and De Jager will be in the starting line-up with De Jager calling the Line Outs and Du Toit on the bench. I am also pretty sure Malherbe will start.
Nothing is said about Jannie's injury. What worries me is Du Preez's injury - especially bearing in mind his injury record over the last 18 months. He has become very frail insofar as the injury count is concerned. Pienaar is not up to standard.
We will know soon enough what the team would look like. Seriously now - in my view Matfield is not a major loss at all. We have difficulties in the Tight 5 with him in the team.

Without Victor we lose mobility. His work around the field is invaluable.
The centre pairing will be interesting . Lets just hope Damian doesn't leave Kriel isolated like he did Jean.
Du Preez is crucial to the Boks, but Pienaar should be sufficient for the Boks. I would rest Du Preez for this game anyway, or at least have him on the bench.

What a relief to know the pathetic matfiled is out.Lood is more mobile than matfiled and three times as strong. Look at the tries he has scored recently.DF I can only hope you and Dr Mozzz come right some time. Cerudunce windpomp will come right if Moz does as he is only an echo!! Wahahahahahahhahahaha
