Is Johan Goosen doomed to become a Racing Metro bench sitter?

 Jy praat kak man. There were lots of discussions and video clips refuting the kak that you have been talking and every time that you get a blood nose you sneak away from the discussion and just wait a week or two before you start p!ssing the same BS again. You keep on trying to bring in Morne Steyn to try and hide your predicament with your idol, Glaasen.

BTW, have you noticed that Plisson has once again been omitted from the French squad. Guess who are the fly halves? The one is Remi Tales, who will be keeping Glaasen on the RM bench next season, and Camille Lopez, the guy who tackled the plaque off Glaasen's teeth and rattled him to such and extent that he cost RM a try.

Wha Kak am is using.  I said that I would have selected Goosen and Lambie ahead of morne Steyn every test since 2012.   
About Morne Kak performances - 
*  his goal kicking and out of hand kicking in 2012 was so bad that he was dropped from the team - ample video evidence o that;
*   Last year he blundered up with his out-of-hand kicking and he made enough errors in the Eden Park and Elli park test to fill a book - errors that cost us dearly in especially the latter test;
*   He made constant blunders in the tests this year and I listed those repeatedly earlier.   He desperately tried to hand  a draw and win to the Argentinians in teh recent test and made absolutely sure of a loss in the latest test against the Aussies.
*   H9is defense has detriorated - his missed tackle ratio in the two latest tests we lost - Ellis Park and Perth - was atroicous - missing 42% of all attempted tackles.
Those are facts all confirmed by video and other evidence.   Meyer did right in dropping Morne in 2012 - but he should never ever have broiught him back in 2013 and this year he was real rubbish.

 I quite liked the look of young Goosen [ Is it pronounced "hoosen "?] shame he's so fragile but maybe a season or 2 of being stomped into the turf by lumpen Froggy forwards might toughen him up .....or not .Leave wee Mornie aloooooooonnnne Mikey !

oOm thinks HM  has it right....Pollard withLambie as backup. But in June he never even considered Pollard. Seems HM was miles ahead of our resident experts
 After a very poor performance at  the Ellis Park Park test Steyn was retained for the EOYT tests.  He was very average during the tests and was by then already playing for Stade Francais.  He struggled badly to really establish himself at Stade Francais as their first choice flyhalf and was on their bench in most matches the Club played.   He consequently had very little game time this year.   The second choice flyhalf last year was Lambie - but he is out with an injury as well.  Goosen was not available last year - went on the EOYT with the Springboks - but was never used during the tour. Francois Steyn played a few matches at flyhalf for the Sharks because of the Lambie injury - but although there was one moment of brilliance against the Crusaders on the whole he was at best average in performance - a fact that was probably influenced by a persistent knee problem, which probably lead to a malfunctioning Sharks backline.

You still cannot get yourself to stick to the topic, can you? This thread is about Goosen, yet you keep on dragging MS into it because you just do not have anything to get you out of this one. I would gladly address all the points that you have made on Morne Steyn but then we do it on the thread where you dragged him in on the previous occasion. I have not said that Lopez got the call-up for the French squad because of the tackle on Goosen. That is just another fabrication in your warped brain. What I have said about the tackle is the truth though. Goosen was nowhere in the game and he made a serious balls-up. Listen to the remarks of the commentators. They also knew that this was the big chance for Goosen to show that he has what it takes to be the one to step into Se-xton's shoes but he failed miserably.

The only reason I brought Plisson into the discussion was to show you where he fits into the picture in French rugby. The French national coach has obviously seen what has happened at Stade Francais. I have been telling you for ages that MS was not standing behind Plisson at Stade Francais and I have proven it to you and every time that I proved it to you just disappeared like a wet dream.

He never was twice the fly halve MS. I would say that he is probably not even on par with MS. He, Plisson, stuffed up in the latter part of the 2013/14 Top14. He stuffed up in the play-offs against Wasps. He was not selected for the French side to Australasia after that and he has once again been ignored. In fact, France even went for a “has-been” like Freddie Michalak, rather than go with him again.

Whether you like it or not Plisson is the first choice flyhalf for Stade Francais - Morne is the reason for there problems.   What is lucky is thatthey have another better flyhalf to play in crunch games.
One really has to look at all Morne\'s bugger-ups in the tests during previosu RC series and during the present one to realize that Morne is not a test flyhalf and only an iffy club one.   If you do not believe me go and watch Morne in the tests and see what he does right - the latter being goal kicking - the rest is pure and utter BS,
It is even clear that the NZ members on this site regrets that he is not in the Springbok team anymore - they want him because they know he will make blunders that will favour the AB's.
Stade Francais is welcome to have Morne - as long as he is not in the Springbok team most people in SA will be happy.

 And the Racing Metro first choice flyhalf started at fullback against Grenoble................ and then got himself yellow carded.


Looks like there are more people who think that he should be playing at 15 where he has more time and where he is not constantly in the firing line of opposing loose forwards, causing him to turn his back and run away from tackle situations.
