What a joke - the worst part being Morne Steyn - the great player even his braai companion Meyer gave up on. Other than he non-center Fat Fransie and the non-loosie Alberts - the rest were good players in their prime. A fool like you will always be a fool.
Morne was an interesting case. He wasn't very fast and didn't have much acceleration but was strong. Overall not what I like in a 10 but he had a good pass, I really liked Potgieter and he was more of a flair player and upgraded everything Morne could do. Morne somehow found a way of being productive. He holds lots of records and has an incredible points per test rate. Overall you've got to give him some credit. But Pollard and Boshoff came onto the scene and his time went (Boshoff should have been Pollard's backup, not Lambie or Jantjies). I was disappointed how the fans booed Pollard off the field. The kid is so good and did so much already. Our fans are the most fickle in the world.
Albert's could have quiet periods. I think he never got back to his best after his injuries in 2014 and 2015 which was bad news for the Boks. When playing well he lifted the Boks massively into a whole other level.
Fransie was a good centre. He just never sorted out his issues with SARU. We could have used him after Jean got injured. I believe we'd have gone on to beat New Zealand and win the World Cup if he was in the squad.

The only time I can ever remember when a Springbok was boo-ed was dear Morne in the PE test in 2012 against England. He was just about the real Morne when the crowd started to boo him and nobody can lame them for losing patience after bugger-up after bugger-up by Morne. . Percy was never boo-ed even though some in the Pretoria crowd in 1997 was bitterly unhappy about him. He scored a magnificent try and he Springboks win the test by a huge margin. So no boo-ing as stated.
And now for the real one. The first Puma test - Pollard was not boo-ed specifically - he actually had a very good game - the whole team was, The first loss on home soil against Argentina. The problem was not the fault of Pollard - the whole selected team was PATHETIC - normal Meyer selection madness.

Thanks for posting the clip. Just three observations from what was shown:-
* You obviously missed the booing as the players came off the field at half-time
* There was a cheer meeting Lambie - no booing at all.
* The problem was the whole team was pathetic and extremely poorly coached, There was near to no follow-up on kicks. A clear sign of what was going to happen against Japan..
The above was clear throughout 2015 - individual efforts followed by bad ball handling errors and turnovers, coupled to donating of penalties to Argentina. The props were pathetic in scrums - the loosies pathetic in all aspects of the game - and Bismarck was what? So bad he had to be replaced by Strauss.
The whole saga could be described as in the main to poor coaching and a disastrous lack of team co-operation and effort. .
The classic Dreck diversion, you need to mix your game up. Taking a leaf out of the Book of J-Raz? Yes, this game was error-strewn. Where was Lood, Coetzee, Koch et al? Damian missing 50% of his tackles, Coetzee missing 60% of his. Sadly Brussow didn't do himself any favours. What did I always say about this game? A lack of grunt was exposed by a very physical Puma effort. A scrum collapse akin to what Beast achieved in this year's final. Look at the correction the following week. Who was back? Victor and a reshuffled front row.

In summary it was a piss poor game - typical of the geriatrics who made up the bulk of Meyer's 2015 WC squad. Next write-up about the team the next week playing the Argentina "B" team - really further nonsense in capital letters.
Fact is the number of rugby geriatrics remained rather similar in the two Argentina tests and the Japan disaster a few weeks later. The team in the latter game suffered from the same problem - totally inept coaching and team effort, .
