The Bools were camped on the Stormers line with the feed when Marcel was once again popped....this time by Kebble. How the Bools steadied their scrum after Greyling was penalized heaven only knows....Marcel was up and out in every scrum and Greyling was flat on his belly. It seemed there was nothing for the Stormers to scrum against.

But the Bools chances came down to those two scrums before Marcel got the hook.

The outcome of the match stemmed from four penalties given away by Greyling and converted by Catrakillis.   Malherbe was the main instrument to win that game for the Stormers and was made MOM as a result.

Greyling was more the goat of the match. Why they start this disaster when they have an international class prop in Nyakane beats me.

Kitshoff, Kebble and Koch and of course Malherbe are all Bok contenders. Meyer must play them in the RWC and see how they go. Jannie is slipping. Beast is still okay but is he the best? Keeble was busy hammering Nyankane who came on for the tiring marcell van der Merwe.
Dr Moz did you at any  time rate any of these guys?

Malherbe is the one of the players hated by Mozart, Kitshoff is the other.  He would not say anything positive about those two players.

Nyakane came on for Greyling, when Mellett came on for Marcel then he went to the tighthead.
Marcel has really lost his mojo this season

Little miss tattle tail Moronic...grow up you old coot. HasBeen I predicted Kitshoff was going to destroy Marcel in this game...turned out he did, but not as decisively as Kebble. Greyling made Malherbe look good...he has had a few good games, but he is too likely to end sprawled on his gut, which puts you into the refs zone of decision Koch is technically better but his struggle against Ben Robinson introduced some doubt. Marcel is hopeless, Greyling is hopeless.
I trust that helps.

For some or other reason Meyer thinks Marcel is special. Malherbe seems to be another favourite,  but methinks Koch is Da Man! Reminds me of Cobus Vissagie! Woodcock gaan bars!

Shez, I conceed that beer might influence my reason, but methinks other than being very much relieved with the last games result, I'm not too troubled about things. Still think Marcel is a pipe dream and Kock is the best 3 in the comp though. Kitshoff is the main reason the Stormers scrum is doing so well though.

Koch does seem like the real deal, he should definitely be played in this years RC and so should Kitshoff but I think that him going to France will act against him.

Obviously going to France is going to hamper him, but if Guthro can make the squad playing in Francr, why not Kitsie? Sadly, I don't think he'll make the cut while he's still playing here.

Here you will see a fine illustration of Marcel being popped today. Ending the scrum vertically. Oddly enough once this happened the Bools seemed to push through him quite effectively. But this was a problem last week against the Beast and again this time around against both Kitshoff and Kebble. He can't stay down under pressure.

Mozart  talks BS all the time on this site as per normal.   When Jannie did reasonably well against Greyling - there was no problem with Greyling - all glory to Jannie.  Please note that against Jannie Greyling gave away 1 scrumming penalty - against Malherbe  he gave away 4.
So Jannie was good in scrumming against Greyling and there was a whole praise-song from Mozart - in the case of yesterday's game - Mozart never mentioned Malherbe, only Greyling scrumming poorly.
That is Mozart all over - the players he dislikes are never mentioned and he came up with all kinds of BS when challenged.    Thats why the following balls were written:-
"Greyling made Malherbe look good...he has had a few good games, but he is too likely to end sprawled on his gut, which puts you into the refs zone of decision Koch is technically better but his struggle against Ben Robinson introduced some doubt. Marcel is hopeless, Greyling is hopeless."
All the above is based on a string of Mozart lies insofar as Malherbe is concerned. He has no proof about Malherbe and covers for his "national treasure" (Jannie) all the time.  What a farce he makes of comments on rugby players.

Malherbe  was flat on his face most of the time as well...fortunately Greyling beat him in the race to the deck four times. But one time he didn't and Malherbe was penalized. Koch by contrast kept his feet. Malherbe had a good game against the Tahs, yesterday not so much. I remain unconvinced at this point....I need to see him keeping his feet.

Marcel stood firm against Kitshoff......2 penalties each.....so much for you saying Kitshoff would break Marcel......never happened. The Bulls issue was at 1.

The Stormes are also aided by two monster locks in Etzebeth and Botha.....a luxuary the Bulls do not have with Hattingh on board.

Marcel was dead on his feet by the time Kebble took the field.......playing your tighthead into the 70th minute after a titanic battle against Kitshoff is just plain stupidity

Nope Marcel was popped like that all game. But the collapses of Greyling and Malherbe clouded the issue. The four th scrum, the scrum at minute 47....the reset scrum before the Bools got a technical penalty that incensed Vermeulen.....all total Malherbe cracks. The man cannot stay down under pressure....a scrumming liability.

Rubbish Marcel and Kitshoff both went up.......hence Kitshoff also receiving 2 penalties resulting from pressure.

He stood firm and proved yet again that its a load of utter rubbish regarding his scrummaging.......you told me Kitshoff would break him, never came close.....there was nothing in it......not bad for a prop playing with a liability at loosehead and a lightweight like Hattingh at lock.

Marcel proved his metal for the Boks and did the same against Kitshoff.

Marcel remains one of our best tightheads

Marcel proved his "metal"....surely not. Marcel was popped in every scrum....just as he was against the Beast.

He is another liability with no technique.

No he was not popped in every scrum that is a total lie......when some of the scrums went up, both Kitshoff and Marcel went up.......there was no popping happening.......Kitshoff got penalised in one of them for scrumming up.

You are speaking crap but more to the point you don't know what you are talking about.

If Marcel had been that bad the penalty count would not have been 2 all between the two......let me guess you reckon the ref got it wrong.

You are smarting because you said Marcel would get is arse kicked and it never happened......not even close.

Marcel stood firm as he always does and will do next week again

The penalty count was 3 to Marcel ....zero to Kitshoff, note the three penalties to Marcel in the second from right column....and the zero to Kitshoff in the same column. What game were you watching?

Well that is clearly wrong as its clear the ref awarded 2 penalties against Kitshoff, one for scrumming up and one for slipping the bind.

To show how crap those stats are.....Marcel had 2 awarded against him against Kitshoff and 2 against Kebble........the statistician needs to find a new job

Bullshit.......the very comment by the ref was scrumming up by 1 and later it was slipping bind by 1.

It was two all between the 2 and nothing in it.

The Kitshoff destroying Marcel just never happened as you so forthrightly predicted......I did laugh at every scrum, waiting for the Kitshoff knock out blow.

Kitshoff is a quality prop as is Marcel......we have a number right now as we do in all positions

Marcel is not a quality tighthead....he can't scrum. Your excuse for Kebble ripping him apart is he was tired. That could effect his play around the park, not his scrumming. He came up against Kebble just as he did against Kitshoff. The difference is with Nyakane instead of Greyling, the scrums went the distance, giving Kebble enough time to tear Malherbe a new one.
Just another  Dave myth.

Oh what utter fucking rubbish......being exhausted is obviously going to affect his scrumming and he was spent by the time Kebble came on.....failing which one would have to conclude that Kebble was a far better loosehead than Kitshoff as Marcel had no issues with Kitshoff at all.

Marcel is a class tighthead as he will continue to prove week after week.

All we are witnessing is your bullshit as you are smarting given the fact that you predicted that Kitshoff would demolish Marcel........it never happened, was never going to happen.

Live with it instead of making things up.....we all saw the game and I am yet to see any report mentioning Kitshoff destroying Marcel.......we cant say the same about Malherbe vs Greyling.

Kitshoff vs Marcel was 2 all - FACT

Unbelievable....this guy loses the game for the Bools by ceding two crucial penalties in the highly contested end of the game....three to zero according to the ESPN stats that everybody uses reliably week after week.....and you find excuses.

It's always excuses.....excuses for Taute , excuses for Lomp, excuses for JJ.

They never lost those tests, things were just unfair. Man I wouldn't give you a garbage truck to manage Dave. You have no performance standards....none. Only favourites.

No excuses at all.....I am telling it as it is.....not speaking complete shit as you are.......name a single report which mirrors the crap you have come up with.....its simply a load of crap as you have been exposed for making that stupid call before the game.

So you reckon those ESPN stats are accurate? The same that cant even get the number of penalties Marcel himself conceded right.....wow.....but why not do yourself a favour and go watch that game again......for I sure as hell am going to and I'm going to point out the exact minutes Kitshoff was penalised.

It was Kitshoff 2 vs Marcel 2 and that is a fact.

As for the biggest insult of all.......now all of a sudden Marcel lost the game for the Bulls. Moz with all due respect you sound bloody stupid........you have this warped take on individual players losing games for sides......it never got any worse that that utter bullshit we read about JJ losing the AB test.....Marcel losing the Bulls game is on a par.

You live in cloud kookoo land.

What excuses did I make for JJ, Taute or Lood....name them

Bottom line is you are smarting as your great prediction that Kitshoff would break Marcel fell flat on its face.

Got to also love the fact that Marcel playing right up to the 74th minute would not have been exhausted.....wow

Do you see Owen Franks popped 8 times in a game, do you see the Beast flat on his face in every scrum. Malherbe has a propensity to fall forward....international opposition will exploit that. Marcel has a propensity to pop up out of the scrum....international opposition will exploit that.
Until Marcel stays down and Malherbe stays on his feet Im not convinced.

I have seen Franks popped many a time as I have see Beast flat on his face......one would swear that if a scrum goes up its only one props fault.....that is the case if that prop is going backwards.

There was no popping going on.....the props went up simultaneously......with each prop conceding penalties at different stages.....Kitshoff for scrumming up, that's not a pressure thing and the other time was for slipping his bind, which was a pressure thing.

Blaming a prop for falling on his face, when his opposite number is in exactly the same position is a laugh, especially when that fall is the result of opposition prop hinging.

Malherbe destroyed Greyling, so banging on about him being on his face is a laugh.

Marcel, Coenie, Koch, Nyakane and Malherbe are blood good props, better than anything other countries have coming through the ranks.

The likes of Coenie, Nyakane and Marcel are new converts to tighthead and doing bloody good jobs.

The reality of props is that no prop gets to dominate throughout......the spoils are shared by the good props and much has to do with the collective scrum as well.

There are props that don't crack in the scrums.....Greyling, Stevens and Werner Kruger are classic cases
