Draad, I very much doubt if Grima here can find an example of me not rating Etzebeth as a player. 
My problem with Etzebeth is how he bulked up the way he did and at what cost . . . given his extreme aggression on the field and his inability to last 80 minutes. When he's on the field (for the first 60 minutes anyway) and when he's not looking for a fight or trying to be the "enforcer", he's a great player.

Serfontein is a good player, their is no doubt of that. However I doubt he will ever be as good as JDV.Ma nonu said that Jean was the best inside centre in the world around 2008-2009.
I must admit that I forgot about his contribution in that try. 
 Serfontein first season for the Bulls in SuperXV he was very good, but had a very average season last year for the Bulls.  He and JJ were probably the best attacking cenre combination in 2013 from all the SA teams. JJ lost the boil in 2014, and Jan became a Crash Bull. 
His defense is better than Jean, but I still say an inform JDV is better. JDV was crap last year so maybe he is now a past it has been. Any old player is allways going to have that monkey on their back, and Jean looked like he was carrying this monkey .
Personally I would prefer Delande at 12. He offers more in contact than the other 2 and can dominate the advantage line when their is no space. He is also the better offloader. 
Not sure who would be at 13. We have another washed up has been in Jacque Fourie who will probably decide he wants to play in the world cup a few days before the tournament. 

 Rooi, how many yellows has Eben accumulated since hitting the big time? If you were familiar with the background of his fam, you would know that that aggression has nothing to do with roids, same for his size. These guys are natural warriors and they have short fuses. In comparison, Eben is actually mild.
PS, I do know you rate the odd player south of the Drakensberge every now and almost never.

Absolute rubbish, Draadtrekker. I've had more positive things to say about Cheslin Kolbe and Juan de Jongh than anyone else on this site and I'm also a big fan of Nizaam Carr, Damian De Allande, Seabelo Senatla and Frans Malherbe. I'm also a Duane Vermeulen convert. There was a time when I regarded him as overrated and dirty but he's cleaned up his act since he joined the Stompies and he's become a world-class player. I actually prefer him as a Stompies player to when he was with the Cheetahs.
As for Eben's family, I have read up a bit about them. His father is a policeman, his one uncle was a debt-collector who got shot and his uncle Cliffie is some kind of wrestler who's claim to fame is that everyone goes quiet when he walks into a bar. Apparently the other uncles and cousins are also bullies posing as tough guys. A bunch of over-aggressive low-lives by the sounds of it . . . but none of that changes the fact that Eben is a very aggressive person with a short temper, his over-developed muscles tear easily and he has no stamina. Now what does that sound like to you? I mean really, open your flipping eyes and think for yourself for once!

 Rooi, I've met one of the cousins, almost as big. No sportsman or gym freak. No need to use roids. Yes he is aggressive, but that's what you want of a 4. The fact that he gets targeted by opposition and still don't get yellows, is a compliment to him. Bakkies had it worse. Yes, he is big and that leads to injuries, but so is PSD and Arno Botha and they get injured even more. Also roids?I'm not condoning his families antics, merely illustrated where he is coming from.
PS, you do have a bit of a chip about WP players, but I know that you are not blinded by that and I know you actually do rate a few of them. In that regard, my comment was more jest than anything.
