It appears Kolisi may be cited, for a backward no look headbutt.

When your slipper intentionally commits a red card offence with 60 minutes to play.

What was he thinking?

That would likely have lost the Boks the match.

Fool.

If the ref saw that it would have been a straight red card. On replay you can see that Kolisi looked for his head by looking over his shoulder and then going straight for the players head. The holding was just normal off the ball stuff. Hopefully this will be the end of Kwotalisi.

So if Kolisi is banned for one match or more - will we have to put up with useless Louw at 6?   Heaven forbid I would rather have Kolisi ahead of Louw.

If Kolisi is banned I would rather that Erasmus calls up Marcel Coetzee and play him at 6, than the serial loafer and under-performer Louw.

I noticed the backward head butt when it occurred  and so did most the guys who watched the game I spoke to afterwards...just amazed it escaped the eyes of the officials...it was clear as daylight and I'm not the best at seeing irregularities. Yes, definitely a red card offence, would no doubt have changed the result...not something to be proud of...horrors and a captain at that...but Horne was pinning hin with his arms and preventing him from getting up...can be very annoying and yes he is human...probably a natural reaction...unlike like that deliberate head butt of Bakkies years ago on the NZ scrumhalf...but the authorities won't see it like that. Is Marcel available?

"Horne was pinning him with his arms and preventing him from getting up, can be annoying and yes he is human"

Bakkies was held by the shorts in plain view of the ref, who never called it. He would have gotten to the loose ball first. One is alot more understandable than the other. Both punishable.

We can have Kolisi banned. He will, however, continue to be captain. Rassie would experience a colossal fallout if Kolisi doesn't captain the Boks to the World Cup.

There was some complaints/questions from Breytie and Owen about why Kolisi as Captain were being subbed every match. Matfield said it's normal and that John Smith got subbed by Bissie all the time. Owen started babble at this stage of the conversation ...was weird...it only confirmed my worries....there will be huge fallout if Kolisi gets dropped...BIG TIME!

Looks like Kolisi has dodged a bullet. The Citing Commissioner had 24 hours after the final whistle to to cite anyone and that deadline has come and gone without Kolisi being cited.

Shocking decision . . . or should I say, non-decision. That's as blatant as it gets. Almost makes one think there might be some political factors at play here.

Just another example of the amateur level of adjudication present in WR.

Just another example of how SA are favoured by the refs and world rugby. When will the playing field be leveled so everyone is playing to the same rules.

Typical dirty foul play continues unabated with SA given a free reign yet again, just imagine the scorelines the All Blacks would post against SA if our players got away with half of the things SA have done for the last 100 years.

Just thought I would see what it felt like to sprout made up nonsence for a change to see it from beeno's point of view but apparently my IQ cant go that low and still be able to breath.

CFan, yes, I did pick up the Beenoesque tone of your post

Please note that Baboon-ou hasn't been around these parts much lately. I think he's still sulking after Trump and his precious Republicans lost the House of Representatives in the Midterms but it could be that they put a new tyre swing into Baboon-ou's enclosure and he now has better things to do.

Either way, I do think that the non-citing of Kolisi is a shocker and puts a lot of the squealing about the Farrell tackle into perspective. This is a far more dangerous precedent that World Rugby is setting.

Saderfan, true to form, you'll find that most SA fans here don't opt for the "swings in roundabouts" nonsense.

We are clear in that it's dirty play. Uncalled for, unbecomming of any player nevermind the skipper and on top of that it's poor/unnaceptable adjudication by the WR.

Consistency. Why? Because we love rugby mroe than we love our team/s.

Kolisi is black and captain of South Africa. The praise he receives is excessive, because people are too afraid to be called a racist if they speak the truth. We all know that our terrorist guppies would throw a fit if Kolisi were banned.

Yes indeed...it makes one sick at the over patronising and overplay of black players...amazingly good black players hate this...I know Africans very well...they hate to be patronised in general, especially those with more character and intelligence...they see it as condescending. Ironically most of them despise white liberals despite what most liberals think...they want respect and to be treated fairly and equally, something this rotten government does not do and they see that whites are marginised in this country.

I respect Kolisi tremendously, I think he has great attributes and character...an amazing man when you know where he is coming from...the very poorest of the poor from PE township and son of a domestic servant.

Having said this, I don't think he is the best no 6 by a fair margin...I would like to see Marcel Coetzee there...yes he is a good player and has great character but in all honesty I would never have chosen him, as a player and indeed not as a skipper.

As with the head butt he should be called to account and punished accordingly...to cover something like this shows up the shallowness in our officials and their hidden agendas.

Plum, I suspect Crusadersfan's tongue in cheek posting was very close to what Baboon-ou would have said if he wasn't sitting in his cage sulking about the Midterm results.

Worrying times indeed if the international community are going to start turning a blind eye to a certain segment of our population when they are clearly guilty. Any other player would be carrying the bags for a good few games. This could shed some light on the deafening silence with regards the selection 'guides' that the Boks have to endure.

There is form in the UK to turning a blind eye. Last year a certain national carrier had its co pilot removed from the cockpit before a flight home after the Captain smelt alcohol. The blow test confirmed this BUT the blood test (the nail in the coffin) was not done for a number of hours. The blood was then just below the limit and the Brits did not have to charge and take a bite of the shit sandwich.

Kolisi should be punished, no question

This sets a very disappointing precedent, which will be quoted by many around the world, for years to come, against South Africa, should any other teams get away with doing something similar in the future.

I re ckon there is a lot more to this decision, than anyone else is letting on

Dumb Ass is back?
Well there goes the theory that Dumb Ass was Hawkeye . . . unless Hawkeye's passing was also fake news?
Dumb Ass, just so you know, I thought you were the Kamp SS poster called Hawkeye who passed away and I actually posted a RIP to you on this thread.
Clearly I was wrong and I'm quite sure you'll have a good chuckle at my expense but I can say sincerely that for all our differences I'm glad to see you back and you're not dead.
Now you can fire away. I make no excuses for posting what I did and I feel suitably foolish. I don't think I'll be making any more guesses about who is who in the zoo.

The evidence againt Kolisi was circumstantial. It was 50/50 that he was trying to head but, or just trying to get out. Additionally the contact made does not appear to that which would seriously hurt a rugby player. Given his exemplry record, letting him off is not a big deal.

BS, his good record should give him a lighter sanction , not a free pas.

I like him and actually don't totally buy into the quata player thing. I think he is a token captain, but that's something else. Leadership on that level is collective anyway.
