Despite questionable to  poor performances by some players two weeks in a row - those are highlighted - I cannot see how Meyer would make some changes:-
15   Willie le Roux14   JP Pietersen13   Jesse Kriel12   Damian de Allende11   Bryan Habana10   Handre Pollard 9    Ruan Pienaar 8   Warren Whiteley 7   Schalk Burger 6   Francois Louw 5   Lood de Jager 4   Eben Etzebeth 3   Jannie du Plessis 2   Bismarck du Plessis 1   Tendai Mtawarire
The bench is likely to be the following:-
16  Adriaan Strauss17  Trevor Nyakane18  Frans Malherbe19  Flip van der Merwe20  Siya Kolisi21  Cobus Reinach22  Patrick Lambie23  Jan Serfontein
There are some changes I would like to make and these include the following:-
*   The problem remains that Pietersen has not been up to standard over the past two years - he lost pace over the last year and is a questionable selection at best.  However, the problem is that the wings seems to be where the BEE situation is less problematic in performance criteria and that eliminates better players like Combrinck and Van Wyk.
*   Ruan Pienaar was disappointing - in some respects in both the World 15 game and the Aussie test.   I would not pick him for the AB test - he is just too predictable and deficient in some aspects of play.   Personally against the AB's two live-wire players like Reinach and De Klerk would be much better.
*    I would not have picked the loosies as indicated above.  With Coetzee not available I would have retained Burger at 8 and moved Louw to 7 - bringing in Kriel as the number 6.  I would avoid Mohoje like the plague and personally prefer Whiteley to Kolisi on the bench.

Hard to fault you Mike. However ou Meyer could do anything. He could decide Heunike needs more game time and ditto oupa! Kolisi on the bench and no Whitely. Would love to see Kriel, Burger and Louw guven a shot. We can thought expect little from Meyer as he plods on.

Is Coetzee definitely out? Because a loose trio of Whitely, Burger and Coetzee would not suck!!

The knee looked bad. They say it's not ligaments, but it would be stupid to chance him if he isn't 100% Further injury is just too likely if a player plays injured.

Whiteley, Burger and Louw would be awesome on paper.
You have a great link man in whiteley, a good fetcher in Louw and a great ball carrier in burger, all of whom can mix it up nicely.

I just hope they gel as they haven't played much rugga together.

I do not think that Coetzee would be available this weekend - hence my suggestion above.  I also think that Matfield - with his limited muscle structure in his legs - would not make himself available.  Matfield would like to limit his appearances showcasing even more his deficiencies before the WC squad is announced - since that would reduce the chances that he would miss out.  In any event any other coach would not have encouraged his return to Springbok rugby like Meyer did - so Meyer will not eliminate him from the squad unless he gets injured and is forced out.

I'm not convinced that the bench is good enuff to play club rugby.

By the way - I think that the bench usage was poor on Saturday, especially Van der Merwe and Mohoje. They are indeed the club players involved.

Not sure why you Yarpies are so hung up on the selection for Saturday's game. It doesn't matter which XV gets picked - whether that is Heinecke Meyer's selection or the forum consensus pick - the Springboks are going to be playing the role of the drunken sorority girl at the Fraternity Spring Break party with the ABs playing the role of hard Jocks with big c o c k s .

Unlikely team you mean.....geez Tokkie can't you get anything right. Let me give you a hint....the team the Journos post on Tuesday after training is usually right. The match day combinations are given a run.

i wrote that thread at 02;30 - before the tuesday story appeared in the newspaper.   so i was some player out in the starting line-up and one on the bench.   The posting of the journos was at least 14 hours later than the above thread was started.  what another egg-in-the-face effort from you.

Hahaha....you did use the word "likely". What does that convey to you? Your best guess or a team based on some actual insight? My advice wait for the journos egg man.

My advice is - don't be a fool like you normally are.  Check the date and time of a thread before you fall in your own BS as er normal .

Oh I was very aware of the date and time Tokkie. You apparently weren't, which is presumably why you made a prediction that could have been massively improved on a few hours later. Maybe next time you could consult Malherbe's mother.....bwaaaaaahahahahahahahahaha.

Repetition of problems...changes now are too late any how...no one, or two player or more wins tests...seen this is the past... change of strategy, of heart or shere guts might bring a more favourable result against an equal opponent but not against the ABs.

Write this one off guys...
