Lood highest tackle count

Lood De Jager has made 50 tackles  in the world cup so far! More than any other player! Not bad for a player that is not mobile!

For me it is not only the tackle count - but the quality of the tackles he made.  He normally tackles players back - putting the ball carriers' teams on the back foot.
You must remember that De jager only played in 3,5 matches - he was in one test on the bench. 
I fail to understand the insistence on the selection of Matfield ahead of De Jger in the present series.   I know it is sentiment - but in reality De jager proguced much more than Matfield.   
The other story is pace deficiency.   I can remember one case in the US test where the ball was kicked far up-field and when the ball was fielded there were four players there to try and win a turnover - three backline players and De Jager.   That does not show a paceless player.            

 Lood is a lot quicker than wee matfiled. I recall him tracking the ab wing!Look lets face facts here honestly and straight on. The oaks backing matfiled have disappeared under a mountain of EGG. Hahahhahahahahahaha
I am sure Dr Mozzzz and the Card are planning a back track. I see it coming already with Allende, Malherbe and Lood. Subtle little changes in attitude. They are still having full go at Krile but that will inevitiably backfire as well. 

 Lood has made a few tackles but these are "wing-span tackles", i.e Lood has long arms (but thin wrists & ankles) & he is able to grasp a poor wee back & this is generally considered a "tackle". 
In fact most of these "tackles" are of little consequence as the back often offloads the ball & Lood gets in the way of other more proficient tacklers. 
I will leave it to Moz to explain "process tackles" and other nuances of interpretation of "tackles".

 Yup. just like Lood is a huge attacking force... 7 runs for, I think it was 5m. If he caught the ball stationary and fell over forward he would have made more metres!!!

You are talking tripe - absolute tripe.   You are not referring to Matfield here that always go straight down and give away penalties when a scrummie tackles him.  In the case of De Jager it takes two to three players to take him down. 
Matfield is your hero - I know - but he is the worst disaster in the Springbok squad at present - physically too weak to be competitive in modern rugby..   

So Vic impedes EVERY scrum, EVERY maul, EVERY Lineout, EVERY restart, and is slow? Where have we heard these things before? Ah yes, Du Preez! Too slow, ruins "the functioning of the back play times". 

 I thought Morne was the worse disaster in the squad. I really need to visit more often.

 Apparently Lomp, Stephanie, Allende and Kriel are going to ensure a Bok WC.

No add Willie, JP, Habana, Pollard, du Preez, Beast, Bismark, Malherbe, Etzebeth, Schalk and Vermeulen to your list.....its a team game

 Gosh...Malherbe I'd forgotten him. We can' t win without Lomp, Stephanie, Allende, Kriel and Malherbe.

 We will certainly lose with Matfield, Alberts and Jannie Du Plessis playing.  Don't forget about that.
