Lots of quality players in the minnow nations. The Sharks should do a trade for Ono, give them Lambie. For years Romania had the best hooker by far, a beast. Lots of exceptional front row talent in countries like Georgia et al, those traditional powerlifting strongholds. Better than what we have in SA. I get annoyed when they say the Boks are a great scrumming nation, in all the years I have followed game our scrum has been bullied. These tier 2 sides have endless production line of quality props. I even recall many years ago when Italy where still seen as easy beats, they dismantled our scrum with their 10th choice loosehead and other unknowns at hooker and tighthead. Japan has a culture for enterprising backplay. Look up some videos of tries by Japan, excellent stuff. 

Started taking interest in the Lelos a few years ago after Sean Fitzpatrick did a bit of promotion in Tbilisi (Georgia) and St Petersburg in Russia...a budding rugby nation of note...they love rugby almost to fanatical levels...watch their under 20s coming through and I surmise they will become better inn ovative and creative in backline..

Their forwards are awesome, Lomidze and Gorgodze...their biggest flaw was Mamukashvili bad throwing in lineouts and substituting Peikrishvili for the much better scrummager Kaulashvili.

Milton Haig (a Kiwi) has done however great job......it seems the NZers do more for rugby than just play an outstanding game

My immediate impression was that his man of the match was a bit of a farce. He only played something like 50 minutes, and I thought he had a pretty quiet game compared to some of the other Georgian players. 

Pakie you should have watched the Tonga Georgia game...sadly most Saffas did not bother...certainly one of the best WC games so far.

He was immense...and showed his class.

Did not really stand out in NZ though but I gather he was going to be targetted and kept his energies for the Namibia game where Georgia are not only targeting a win (to be automatic qualifier for 2019) but to get a bonus win....bear in mind that Tonga have a very long shot of upsetting a B side Argies side... very unlikely though but this is a funny tournament full of strange strategies as we have seen in the past.

I have no doubt he is a good player, he looks it. It just felt like they made him man of the match against NZ because he is one of the "big" names in the Georgia side, when there were other more deserving Georgians on the night.
