For the next 4 years m, AE. He knows the Bok game and is far superior to DDA in my book.
I'd drop DDA and never have him back in the squad.
And since the rest of our backs are supreme lightweights, I would want a monster at 12...so I would seriously consider Roos as AE's understudy.
In SA we do this thing where we shift big backline players into the pack...which makes no sense because we generally have an abundance of fast quick loosies already.
So I would do the obvious thing and pick a guy like Roos at 12. Nobody will get past him, he will defos break the line and he will put people in space. And he had that natural hunger, so will be running support lines at all times.
Everybody here acts like it's so extreme...but really, what can DDA do that Roos can't?

No he did not prefer him to Snyman, Snyman was only just back from injury had no game time on his side and when Lood is back as he is now Mostert won’t start.
No-one on this planet prefers Mostert to RG including yourself
There is no flaw - Rassie’s first choice locks are Eben and Lood
Once RG has an extended injury free run he will start for the Boks
Just like he keeps Ox and Marx on the bench - it’s a balance thing. We know Marx is better than Bongi and there is nothing between Ox and Kitshoff

Pollard had just returned from injury and he had no problem starting him. Eluckmiss was saved by the availability of Pollard as a result of Marx’s injury.
With Dud Toit and Mostert in the starting squad, there was little risk playing Snyman if Mostert was a compromise. He wasn’t…he contributed massively to the Bok win. One of the few things Eluckmiss got right.

There are so many better lock options than both
Jenkins, Moerat, Ruben v Heerden, Ruan Vermaak, JD Schickerling, Grobelaar, Ruben Schoeman and Andre Smith are all better locks
Mostert did nothing of note in the WC other than make process tackles and take his ball in the line outs.
Never contributed in the areas that matter - physical carries, physical clean outs, dominant tackles, grunt in the engine room
Mostert is a physical liability and I can’t wait for the day he is history as I don’t get his selection at all.
There is only one credible thing about him - he is durable
Bullshit re Lood, DA or anyone costing us games - utter rubbish. Lood is far far better than useless Mostert it’s why Rassie always starts him and why Matfield said he was the best 5 in the game
