 Playing against the Argentinian B team was misleading - what the hell did he do against Japan and in the game against the AB's?  He was absolutely useless in both,   Remember the rating he got for the tournament as a whole - a generous 5 out of 10 - which should in fact have been 3 out of 10.

As for Meyer he was undoubtedly told about the rewuirement to select players on race and stepped down. He had probably already had enough of it. I personally dont believe backline coach ricardo Loubscher was a free choice of his.
As I noted given the poor rugby strategy employed and all the other factors we have all noted, the loss to nz finally because of the matfiled incident (or the habana charge at at carter when kicking for goal) proves conclusively how inherently superior to the haplees abs the Boks truly are.The Boks remember should have won comfortably here in Sa with a significantly weakened team but were crooked out once again by a nz ref in pocket type - ably abetted by mcheat of course. I think that Hoskins is running for cover with his latest remarks.  Perhaps he realizes that Coetzee would not be the ideal choice after all and would be grossly unpopular with the general fan base.   However, it could also be that he is trying ti divert attention from the actual decision to be taken by saying that there is no decision on the issue of Coetzee - while a decision has in fact been made - thus moving himself out of the blame for such a decision.
One can never trust SARU to be honest and fighting for the interest of Rugby - so why should it change now?

I don't hold whites responsible for the strife that SA and the rest of Africa find themselves in economically...as Beenis eluded to. I'm not qualified to have a discussion like that and it's a bottomless pit of blame which i don't want to get into.

I do hold the apartheid government directly responsible for the transformation policy that we now see in Rugby in SOUTH AFRICA.. If not them...then who? Maybe the ANC for not achieving transformation yet? I don't know if 20 years is enough time. I don't know if anyone does.
