I have just heard on 702 that there are UNCONFIRMED reports, that SARU have offered Meyer a four year contract extension. This radio station is very reliable, so the reports are probably true, but they are unconfirmed at this point.

Sounds about right - SA rewarding a complete loser - nothing surprises me anymore.

Vic can take comfort in playing for the Boks past the age of 40!!

This is a real disaster for SA Rugby - we van depend on it the players he was supposed to selectiu in 201w will now be selected in 2019.   And Matfield will be the backline coach - Maybe appropriate since he has not played as a forward for years.
Watch the ne xt drama when we have no0t ahve a squad in place for the 2019 WC.

 Shocking from SARU.

Another 4 years of failure with this plonker.

Might also have been the carrot to lure him into accepting interference with team selections???

Well, here's a question: Who is going to do a better job? And another: Will you acknowledge the failings on the field had something to do with fan favourites? Afterall, Damian cost SA the Aussie test! Think about that for a second. And where was Vic against Argentina? Likewise Morné, Alberts, Frans, Du Preez and all the others who are routinely attacked. Pollard has taken flack, but nobody is asking where the centres were that day, or how Pollard was supposed to function with the poorest quality possession with no weapons outside him! Disgraceful, absolutely disgraceful.

Funny man you - the real failures in the Aussie test you missed out on completely as per normal.
Let me put it plain and simple - Matfield is a disaster - he reduces our Tight 5 yo a Tight 4.   Morne was poor for the last three tests he played in - desperately poor.  Alberts and Frans did not have a half-decent game in Super 15 for years and Fransie was sh!tpoor in 2012 when he played for the Springboks.
Sorry - I agree with you about the worst education system - but that came after I was out of the school - College and University system for years.  You might have been part of it - for all I know.
Problem is - I have asked you repeatedly when Fransie has displayed all those lofty attributes you assign to him and all I got was more lofty attributes.  Give us all the benefit of practical examples, then we will believe you.  As to Willem Alberts the same - he is the lowest activity loosie I have ever seen in my life - and the slowest to boot.  So prove us wrong through practical examples.
No - comical DF - I enjoy your contributions and enjoy it more if you tell us when Matfield has done anything in Tight 5 play and the other two anything of value in any matches they played in.

Hey dumb Fox in answer to your question......just on the de Allende point, I'll say no more than quote the below......team of the tournament you idiot

12 - Damian de Allende (South Africa): A marked-man against all teams - De Allende was a destructive ball-carrier never going down on the first tackle while his passing finesse allowed him to release his outside backs. One to watch for the World Cup.Bubbling under: Matt Giteau (Australia)
As for replacements for Meyer.....hell the list is endless......I'd give it to any of the Kiwi S15 coaches or I'd give it to Ackerman and Swys as combo if it had to be a SA'n.....or get Nick Mallett back......anyone but fucking useless Meyer
