Are you referring to Chad Schofield. I know he rode in England - but with my moving lost a bit of contact with them over the past two months and only spoke to them again over the past two weeks again.
I do not know he was in SA - but since the departure of the family to Australia I lost a lot of interest in horse-racing in SA so I did not pick it up here either.
Chad has now gone to ride in Hong Kong and I asked him through facebook to send me his rides so I can watch him riding on TV - the Hong Kong rces are being telecasted on local TV - unlike the Aussie ones which is rarely covered for some reason or another.
I spoke to Kerry Roberts - Chad's Grandmother - on Monday. She told me that her mother - Joy Barends - the widow of the ex-jockey Charlie Barends - broke her hip in a fall. The old lady is already 96 years old - so it is a problem. She also said that Glyn is finding competition for rides in Australia very hard and that is a problem for them as well.

The poor kid has had nothing but bad luck ever since he won on a maiden in Australia's premier race the Cox Plate. His move to Melbourne with a leading trainer, at first a success, has unfortunately gone pear shape. Not sure about Glyn, wish he'd retire but even though in the twilight of his career he still has his fair share of wins with the leading Sydney trainer.

Talking about Glyn, he's booked to ride in Melbourne on Saturday in a feature race.... I think he has a good chance. I don't see Chad with any bookings, who knows he might be overseas.
