More egg lands on the global warming gulloibles!! Ex the UK independent:

There will be a "mini ice age" in 2030, solar scientists have said.

We are now able to predict solar cycles with far greater accuracy than ever before thanks to a new model which shows irregularities in the sun’s 11-year heartbeat.

The model shows that solar activity will fall by 60 per cent between 2030 and 2040 causing a "mini ice age".

The conditions predicted have not been experienced since the last "mini ice age" which lasted from 1645 to 1715, called the Maunder Minimum.

Frozen fountain at Trafalgar Square in London in January 1963The findings are being presented by Professor Valentina Zharkova at the National Astronomy Meeting in Llandudno.

In 1843 scientists first discovered that the sun's activity varies over a cycle of 10 to 12 years.

Fluctuations within that cycle have been difficult to predict, although many solar physicists new that the variations were caused by a dynamo of moving fluid deep inside the sun.

Professor Zharkova’s team of researchers has found that adding a second dynamo close to the surface of the sun, creates a far more accurate model.

The scientists found magnetic waves in two different layers of the sun’s interior which fluctuate between the northern and southern hemispheres of the sun.

A depiction of the frozen River Thames from 1754

“Combining both waves together and comparing to real data for the current solar cycle, we found that our predictions showed an accuracy of 97 per cent," Professor Zharkova said.

The magnetic wave patterns show that there will be fewer sunspots in the next two solar cycles. Cycle 25, which peaks in 2022 and Cycle 26, from 2030 to 2040 will both have a significant reduction in solar activity.

So much or all the hot air by global warming alarmists.

But again I say its not as bad as the evolution hoax that so many gullible folk swallowed hook l ine and sinker!

Why am I not surprised.....these Warmer Nuts refuse to recognize the role of the only source of heat in the solar system, our sun. At least half, probably more, of the one degree warming in the 20th century was  caused by the sun. Now we are going into a weak solar cycle. This will kill off the last feeble death throes of the vastly exaggerated warming scare and of the attempts by politicians to use it as leverage.

Moz I think its game over. Funding for the global warming reseachers, a trendy thing, should dry up and poor ab ass can get over his phobias in this respect.
The lunacy of evolution must also be abandoned and the rotten corpse buried. Let true science prevail and not loaded agendas. To think ou rooitwit thinks he decended from a rock. The oak is thick but that thick!!  Extraordinary!
Bwahahhaahahaha hahahaha

This is monumental if true.....and I have seen nothing except the factual report as above. Cooling is much, much, much more devastating than warming. Huge resources will have to be assigned to getting through this cycle. In previous mini ice ages population has declined notably.

In fact if there was any significant carbon effect it could really help. Sadly though the half degree in 100 years one could reasonably assign to carbon will be a drop in a bucket.

A few scientists with a bit of guts have pointed out that the models are not predicting reality. They may be complex, ingenius in a lot of ways.....but if they consistently overshoot reality they are not capturing all the crucial variables.

What were they missing? Oops....here comes the sun, in the words of the song. Or maybe, there goes the sun and the whole puffed up, dishonest global warming movement. They never could predict anything and suddenly is glaringly obvious why....they never paid much attention to the sun.

And by the way after Chicago had the coldest late Spring in a 100 years....Oz is having the coldest weather for 15 years. Sound like warming to you? Egg all round.

Well el stupido beandork its quite true that evolution isnt for everyone .Just look at yourself  for instance you havent even evolved to the same level as some of yer stupider monkeys....Australia - worst droughts ,hottest year on record ,extreme weather events.....but yeah just groovy this head in the sand bizzo....

Brisbane records coldest morning in 103 years

Brisbane has recorded its coldest morning in 103 years, with low temperatures also being felt across the rest of Queensland.

The weather bureau says the state's capital dropped to 2.6 degrees Celsius just before 7:00am (AEST) on Saturday.

Bureau spokeswoman Michelle Berry said it has been exceptionally cold and temperatures are still dropping.

"[It's been] the coldest morning since 1911, so it's quite a record there," she said.

Clermont in central Queensland had record-low temperatures on Friday, but broke records again on Saturday morning with the temperature dropping down to -4.5C.

Five coldest cities in Queensland

  1. Oakey: -6.1
  2. Warwick: -5.9
  3. Kingaroy: -5.7
  4. Applethorpe: -5.4
  5. Dalby: -5.0

Blackall recorded lows of -2.0C, Roma saw temperatures of -6.6C, and Oakey was down to -6.1C.

Further south in the state, Kingaroy reached -5.7C, Dalby dropped to -5.0C, Applethorpe was -5.4C, and Warwick recorded -5.9C.

Ms Berry said dry and clear conditions, as well as light winds, have caused temperatures to plummet but said mornings should start to warm up next week.

100 years of temperatures

Use our interactive map to explore 100 years of annual average temperatures across Australia.

"I would keep the doonas at the ready in the morning," she said.

"I don't think we'll see temperatures drop as much as we saw [on Saturday] morning but we will see temperatures well and truly below their July averages.

"But then we'll actually see a change in air mass and with that increasing cloud we'll see those minimum temperatures on the rise."

In New South Wales, Glen Innes has recorded temperatures of -11.3C, while Thredbo recorded a low of -4.1C.

Victoria's Mount Baw Baw saw temperatures drop to -3.6C.

Sound like the probability distribution is shifting to higher temps? Given the vagaries of temps 103 years ago....Brisbane  probably recorded it's coldest morning ever in 2014 .

But this is about the sun's output....this scientist who appears to be totally mainstream believes it's going to drop drastically after 2030.

Australia is experiencing weather extremes unlike any witnessed before .Thats called climate change .Even our farmers know that pumping millions of tonnes of carbon into the atmosphere isnt good for anyone .So 10 hottest YEARS on record all since 2003 ? as opposed to a few cold days ?

Will the mini ica age mean that I will need to shovel snow from my driveway in Cape Town  (with my retirement approaching at pace) at that stage?

Wardad if the probability distribution has really shifted upwards significantly you would no longer be experiencing record cold days. There are so few observations at the tail end of the temp distribution a big shift in the mean has to eliminate nearly all those days. As for the threat of a mini ice age best I can tell the upper bound of the previous Maunder Minimum was a 2.7 degrees F drop ....with the average much lower than that.

With this event as a possible threat to the Global Warming money geyser, you can easily Google articles at pains to tell you that climate forcing will dominate solar forcing. So if these scientists are right you wont have to shovel. But they have never been right yet!

Moz its very laudable of you to try and educate ou warped DUD but I doubt his ability to follow anyhing much more complicated than a scoreboard.
Ou warped DUD is the singular biggest proof that man decended from a rock. bwahahahahahahaha.
The big trouble here is a lack of objectivity arising from research grants - which will end if global warming due to mankinds activities are found to be a hoax. -A lot like the evolutuion debacle. The other reason is more difficult to establish but I suspect it has something to do with bringing in the new one world goverrment - carbon taxes on nations etc. World terror and financial crises could also be tools which will force people into the new world order. What is certain is that it will come and Anti Christ will rule the world for a brief period known as the 7 year tribulation. People will have to take the mark of the beast as without it they will not be able to buy or sell. It will be a terrible time for all living then. It could happen withing decades or sooner.

Beans i think you should keep evolution and climate change as the separate discussions they are. There is massive science and logical argument from both sides of the opinion rift with regards to climate change. Pretty much all the science proves evolution. If you take the religious obsessed side of the evolution argument away, there is pretty much only science FOR evolution left.
