Based on his latest outburst - his team would be the following:-
15   Willie le Roux14   JP Pietersen13   Jean de Villiers *12   Francois Steyn11   Bryan Habana10   Handre Pollard 9    Fourie du Preez 8    Schalk Burger 7    Willem Alberts 6    Francois Louw 5    Victor Matfield 4    Eben Etzebeth 3    Jannie du Plessis 2    Bismarck du Plessis 1    Tendai Mtawarira
*   If Jean de Villiers is not available then Jesse Kriel.
What is amazing is that if that team takes the field in the quarterfinal of the WC anyone could imagine that they will have a 5% winning chance.   There are ample reasons for the latter statement - the main one being that at least 6 of the players are not selected on the basis of present performance - but solely on their reputation.    Some of those six players have a spotty and in some cases an atrocious performance record for the last 18 months at least  and have shown zero to justify their reputation over the last year.  Those includes Pietersen, Steyn, Du Preez, Alberts, Louw and Matfield - the atrocious performance players being highlighted.  .

Mike I'm sure I read on another thread that Moz's  back line is 15 Kriel, 14, De Allende 13. Kriel 12. Jean. 11. Habana 10. Pollard 9. Du PreezNo too different to mine, except I'd have De Allende at 12, and maybe someone like Combrinck  or Hougaard at 14. That's not a bad back line at all. And that's not an awful forward pack either, Moz has said that he'd start victor on the bench. And someone like Willemse  to start with Etzebeth, but for argument sake let's say Lood  instead of Willemse. And as much as I don't like  Victor, he's not s terrible option  of the bench to close a game out with his experience and intelligence.

(Currently Alberts  shouldn't start but we'll see where he's at after the Puma's games, as a fit Alberts  is an asset in NH conditions.)
