I think the problem was with Koch - he is just not up to standard in scrumming on test level. I am not sure what is to be done - I do not think Marcel van der Merwe is any better - but we will have to wait and see.
The other problem was with Burger throwing balls out to no-one and putting the team under pressure. There was other problems as well, but for the most part those were the two worst ones.

He was ganged up on ...both the loosehead and the hooker worked on him and he had no support from Bismark.
Of course Bismark wouldn't lend a hand ... why would he ... his brother's spot in the starting 15 was under threat.
Koch is a great scrummager.
Far better than that useless Jannie will ever be.

Hasbeeno, it's clear to me that the pap Bok scrum just isn't up to international standard. If Koch is the future then you have huge problems without taking into account the embarrassment of being well beaten at home by the Argies.Nowhere to hide for the Boks now; but then again this game had nothing on it......Look on the bright side Hasbeeno! You now have a trophy for your previously barren cabinet. I'll give you a clue; it's long, made of wood and your Mum uses one in the kitchen!
