Now if only our fool of a coach would select my side and stop making such stupid substitutions like taking Willie off and playing Lambie at 15.
Why take your most creative player off the field?
But worst call of the day was the pathetic call by the Boks for uncontested scrums....talk about a bunch of softies....no doubt a typical Meyer call...not backing Nyakane to play 3.
Best players on the park were the youngsters in Willie, Kriel, de Allende, Pollard, Etzebeth and Lood.
Brussouw showed he should have always stayed in the mix. Bismark was huge.
Yet another loss under useless Meyer.
How special is Kriel? The power of de Allende is something else. And to think some clowns questioned Loods credentials as a test player. Another case of I told you so.
Now if only useless Meyer would wake up to the likes of Senatla, Sithole, Combrink, Vorster, v/Wyk, Odendaal, Frans Venter, Jantjies, Faf, Hougaard, Kitshoff, Malherbe, Marcel v/d Merwe, Willemse, Ruan Botha, Jacques du Plessis, Kolisi, Kriel, Carr, Arno Botha, CJ Stander, v/d Walt and Mtembu and we might just be able to turn things around and have more of our youngsters shi ning like Willie, Kriel, de Allende, Pollard, Etzebeth and Lood.

The word is "shining" Dave....."shinning" is what you do when the Chief divorce lawyer sends you "shinning" up the tree to take pictures. One thing I do agree with you on is that HM's decision to have uncontested scrums with the Boks a player up was cowardly.

Mallet and naas discussed thsi and mallet said he throught the ref had made the call. It appears and there is some uncertainty here that the ref did not know nyankane could scrum on both sides and made the call. The balme for this was fisrtly a miscommunication by managment and the second error was burger not telling the ref.
What MAllet ppointed out and what I picked up on immediately is that we were then near the wee abs line and scrumming against 7. SO IT HAD NOTHING WHATSOEVER TO DO WITH COWARDICE AS IS BEING SUGGESTED ( WHAT A SHOCKING THING TO SAY) BUT A COMMUNICATION ERROR THAT COULD WELL HAVE COST US DEARLY.COWARDICE IS A CLAIM NOT EVEN THE MOST BIGOTED AB SUPPORTER HAS PUT FORWARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dave
Although I agree with you on most issues raised - I have to provide some info discussed during the post-match discussions. The Springboks management sent a clear message to the referee that Nyakane is capable of scrumming at 3 as well and that he should fit into that position. The referee ignored the message and decided on his own that their should be uncontested scrums. If there was one person to object to that unilateral decision it should have been Burger. I am sorry I have to put this matter right - Meyer was not to blame for that one.
There was another comment in that post-match discussion which in fact comes to criticism of Meyer. Naas Botha said that the bringing in of the youngsters into the team should have been made two years ago and they would have even be better than the excellent performers they already are. I think this constant running back to the overseas geriatrics and Matfield was really the worst moves that Meyer could have made over the past two years. In the main it was counter-productive and never really worked out.

it seems that once ur tighthead and tighthead replacement are injured, regardless of who can play where, it automatically becomes uncontested scrums.
ref made the right call, but the law should clearly be changed.

I see the clown Meyer says we must take into consideration that many senior players were missing....the fool probably thinks we would have won the game had JP, Fourie, Jean, du Preez, Matfield and Alberts been on board....that is how stupid he is.
The youngsters are clearly the best players on the field - wake up Meyer

Well I am not sure why Meyer would pick a player who can only play one side of the scrum. Once again SA and their selection issues costing them. NZ supeior depth was the edge.
