I mentioned how OZ got away with murder in the scrums and use their old walking sideways trick on the Poms. Well Mitchell said on TV tonight exactly what I have said.In typical down under fashion they crooked to get a win. When will refs wake up to these things!Taine Randell and Mitchell feel the Oz tight five is wanting and and their playing two small little loosies like Hooper and Pocock can be turned totheir disadvantage.
They also feel that the bigger Welsh backs can also cause problems.
After their crooking of England I am hoping Wales sort them out.
Whatever the case i am confident we will give OZ a good hiding (if we meet) provided only we have a fair ref for once.
Beeno always on the side of the righteous!
JW could you please cease from the use of this particular smiley! BwahahahahahahaThanks

Nah you will find it was alot simpler than that. Oz just outplayed England in every department for the simple reason they were the better side. Better on paper as on the park.

Wiki has wee pocock at 104kg. Both Mitchell and Taine Randall refer to him as a small loosie.Snapster get your facts right. Remember the matfield 115 kg debacle. How you can think Pockcok is 115kgs!
Negating Englands scrum and earning penalties that should have gone the other way was huge in determing the outcome. Fact is Oz cheated, using an OLD illegal ploy of theirs, to win.

By the way wee kolisi  (101kg) is nowhere in the class of wee Pocock (104kg) and wee hooper (101)Koisi (101) is far too pap for international rugby and even Super 15 rugby.
Given Oz tight five is suspect what will happene when apack domiantes them and wee pocock and hooper are sucked into a forward battle. This is the point Randell and Mitchell are making. We have a pack that with munch them. Provided matfield keeps far away - the show pony is the biggest internal problem we have.

Australia will always be a danger as long as Pocock and Hooper are in the team, they're both unbelievable players.

Oz missed the boat with Higgenbottom to make up the Oz trio...he is a quality loosie....far better than Fardy

Sorry snapster my good eyes tell me more than any oz propoganda. I am in good company re Mitchell and Taine Randell.Pockock is nowhere near 115 kgWake up snaster you have no clue when it comes to weights. Pocock is not a mere kilogram lighter than Duane Vermuelen (116Kg)

Beanbrain open your eyes man. You cannot seriously think Pokey is only 3kg heavier than Hooper? He cannot fit through a door sideways. You also need to not give in to your fears and admit the Oz pack actually dominated a rival.

I would not bother very much about Beeno's comment on the weight of Poc ock - I saw a recent pick of Poc ock in a swim suit and he is very powerfully built.  He is at 6'1' 'not tall - but very broad in built.   He is good in possession turnovers because he is so strongly built.
I would not call him small at all.   His height is small - his built anything but.  I would in fact be surprised if he weighs anything less than 115 kgs.

  David Pocock

Flanker Test Rugby Caps: 48 Test Rugby Points: 20 Test Rugby Debut: 2008 v New Zealand, Hong Kong Wallaby #: 829 Height: 1.87m Weight: 115kg Date of Birth: 23/04/1988 Club: Brumbies
as mike said, he's not very tall (nor small) but very broad, freakishly broad I would say.
And he's the real deal, the reason behind the aussies' success IMO. For what we have seen till the moment this year easily the main candidate to Player of the Year award.

I've just watched the game again and there was no such "old walking sideways trick on the Poms" except twice. The first of them was penalised and the other, one of the lasts of the first half, should have IMO but wasn't. Not enough to talk about "crooking" and dismiss the great game of the aussie forward pack.
The superiority of the aussie scrum in the second half was overwhelming and destroyed the poms in the last 3 scrums.

Oaks Pocock at that height and weight should think of playing prop Bwhahahahahahahahaha
Oaks be guided on this matter by rugby luminaries, Taine randall (EX All black captain), Mitchell ex All black and All black coach, Lions coach etc) and above all Beeno  - the one who knows!.
Wee pocock is not one kilo lighter than Duanne. You know how these websites sometimes get it wrong! Poor snapster was completely conned in this matter re wee victor. The poor oak insisted the stringbean was 115 Kg and claimed he had seen this on some web site. I had to try to put him right but he couldn't accept the obvious.

Poc*ock is a dominant force in the RWC so far. You could see his form improve week by week in the S15 and he is even better now. I wondered how Cheika would resolve the issue of Poc*ock or Hooper as I thought Poc*ock is the better player.
Cheika made a good decision to play both of them but we will see how this goes in subsequent games. If the Oz scrum is not working as well as it is things will change.
On the Oz scrum, it looked like the were scrumming square to me & this is what the commentators said during the game. They must be up to something as they have improved so much but it could be down to the Argie scrum coach teaching them the dark arts.
