  JdV has been a great player,.... but he wasn't up to test level,...... he was a burden for the team.
He had an almost carreer-ending injury, spent the last year sidelined, no gametime at all for recovering any form and on top of all he lost 7-8 kg. the last month coz he had to be nourished only by liquids,....... it's completely imposible that he could be at the required level to compete in a WC,...... he would have to be superman, otherwise it's imposible
