Look at the various rugby articles on the UK's Daily Mail, one of the world's most read online publications in the world.

So many self proclaimed British, Irish and Scottish people, as well as general Lions supporters who are on that website, and are openly 100% behind Rassie on this.

As mentioned many times in comments that I have read...... for a lot of people supporting rugby,  this is not about SA Rugby, or even Rassie..... for many, this is all about holding world rugby to account and effecting change, to ensure that there is much more consistently better officiating.

I think a lot of people already realize that their own teams that they support will ultimately benefit from whatever happens from here on.... because the focus on correct decisions in all future games will already be massively improved after all this

Of course, maybe most will be against it, but it is encouraging to see that a lot more people than I imagined obviously saw this as a long time major problem as well

"Warren Gatland has expressed his dismay at World Rugby criticising the British & Irish Lions of also unduly commenting on the performance of match officials.

READ: Lions prop cleared to play after biting citing dismissed

At his latest media conference, the Lions coach pinned the blame on the Boks, saying his side had been “inadvertently dragged into” a situation of South Africa’s making.

“They’ve inadvertently dragged us into it. We’ve tried to maintain as much integrity as we can. We’ve not questioned the referee or the TMO. We’ve only questioned why there wasn’t a contingency if people couldn’t travel or were sick.”

The Lions coach’s latest comments could decidedly ring hollow given his previous remarks directly questioning the match officials in both the SA A game and the most recent Test match.

In the former, Gatland openly expressed his displeasure that scrumhalf Faf de Klerk did not receive a red card for a dangerous tackle:

“I can’t understand the comments that there was no contact to the head. Someone was watching a different picture to me. It looked reckless to me. No arms and he’s hit the arm first and then the shoulder but there’s definitely head-on-head contact”.

Following the second Test he stated:

“We’ll have our meeting with the referees this week. It [Kolbe’s challenge] didn’t look great from where I was but he [the referee] decided it was a yellow card.”

Gatland has stated that he does not understand how the narrative has shifted to suggest that he had questioned the integrity of TMO Marius Jonker before the first Test. This, in spite of multiple reports of his own ‘fury’ at Jonker’s appointment.

World Rugby’s statement upon issuing proceedings against Rassie Erasmus made it clear that both South Africa and the Lions could have done more to uphold the integrity of the series.

Although Gatland insists he has done everything he could, his latest questioning of World Rugby’s stance is perhaps in itself ironically undermining the series’ integrity.

The war of words witnessed last week may have calmed down, but Gatland’s comments today seeking to absolve himself of any wrongdoing prove that we may yet not have seen the end of the controversy this Lions tour has delivered in droves."
Aag shame, foeitog...d!ckhead.

"We’ve only questioned why there wasn’t a contingency if people couldn’t travel or were sick.”

This is now a direct statement and accusation that world rugby is lying to the mainstream media.....

World rugby have vehemently and repeatedly refuted this specific claim from the Lions, and yet the Lions continue with this narrative...….and still nothing happens to anyone.

As I said, this is now a complete and utter clown show... what a joke

Can one of you answer me?

If the current refs are such naughty cheats who always get it wrong then what should we do? Stop playing rugby? Look for alien life forms that are better refs? Just whine and cry like babies without providing any kind of constructive solution?

Seriously, what's your plan? What's Rassie's plan? What is the ideal end state that you chaps are looking for?

It's simple: The ref could have awarded two tries which would have won the game, and he didn't. Frustration ensues, Josè and Crutch start feeling the pressure. You can either coach better or manipulate the ref to police the opposition out of the game. Mark of a very weak coach. Had the Boks been playing even tier 2 level rugby, I'd feel more sympathetic, but they aren't. They've been awful from start to finish of both tests.

It's not only about  bias or cheating of the officials,  it's about the inconsistencies in the process of getting feedback and clarification on issues.

PS, I don't think outright cheating is a problem at all.

No Rooi I have no issue with our current refs they are human and make mistakes My issue is with the TMO getting decisions wrong or missing incidents given the technology they have at their disposal

Yes, I do agree with TMO, ref decisions are final but with full transparency and full explanations if challenged by those involved.

Not, no explanations or answers needed... because I'm the "expert" and I do not have to explain because I have the power...that's unacceptable.

Too much avoidance and silence leads to distrust, be transparent.

I think we all know calls can go either way, call it misfortune or fortune but all sport has this. But technology helps to make this easier but not infallible.

This incident has been blown up unnecessary because egos of power have been dented and challenged and so they should be...it is NOT an issue to be accountable and give answers to these challenges.
