Plumtree revisionism

Moronic and the AAS have joined the chorus bemoaning the loss of Plumtree. That despite the fact that no other franchise seems willing to give him a head coaching job. Since leaving the Sharks he has plied his trade as an assistant coach in Ireland and NZ.

So what was his S15 record at the Sharks?

2008 ...3rd

2009 ...6th

2010 ...9th

2011 ...6th

2012 ...2nd

2013 ...8th

The average position was 5.2..... the average position in the two years before him was 3.5. The position in the year after him was 3.

He inherited a team which contested the final in 2007....hung onto that model for a year....and then declined, really only having one decent year, in 2012 with the late season surge. Just to show that was a fluke he plummeted to 8th in 2013.

When Jake came in he shifted the team up by 5 positions right out of the box. Plumtree showed no trajectory at the Sharks, no ability to sustain brief success. And when he was fired nobody picked him up, except in a purely technical assistant role. This is all humbug.

It has been conformed that Jake White has been appointed as Director of Rugby by the Sharks as from 1 November 2013.

It now transpires that Venter had no contract with the Sharks - but the question remains what his role for the Sharks be in future.  A full statement on the issue would be dealt with today.   Venter may remain being involved with the Sharks, bit clarity on th issue is being awaited.

Now the Sharks will definitely be the winner of Super 15 next year - despite the rumblings of Sasue in respect of the Chiefs.  The only hope of the Chiefs would be up front would be to play Tomas at lock - since they really need a good lock forward.

a)      Jake White is on a mission…no [removed] footing around…his eye is on the trophy…not flash in the pan results.

b)      He has a plan, to create discipline and hard work in a squad with an end goal in mind.

c)      The new comers are just undergraduates that need preparation and exposure to experience.

d)      Not phased by instant results…he believes if you can get the guys to do the right things and do hard work the results will follow.

e)      Create pro fessionalism…the glory and the glamour only come in the end…there will be no holidays and prima donnas …all positions in the team have to be earned the hard way.

f)        He has a vision.

g)      Jake White can reinvent SA rugby by applying these principles.

h)      He has the talent both in experienced die hards and enthusiastic and talented youth …a very good balance."

While Mickey is one again wiping the egg-slop from his face can anyone tell me how Jean Deysel was going to boost the Sharks?......this according to the other board Clown, Rooinek. 

I mean seriously, I don't know of a single contribution in any game by the totally useless Deysel, so how on earth can anyone be so dumb as to believe he would boost the Sharks!!?
