Reality Check for New Zealand

What has happened to the Champions? What I saw on Saturday was a very scrappy rag-tag showing. To be honest, Australia played much better rugby against the Boks. I know the fans are thrilled with frantic running, but a coach would not be quite as thrilled. Plenty of time to steady the ship, but this must be a red flag for them.

I would be careful in answering those questions if I were you - for instance did the two tries scored by the Springboks came from "frantic running"?  

Wh ile having an off day, they won against the number 2 team in the world away from home, even though that number 2 team played well!! I'd take that!!!

 Well it seems your Robinson Crusoe on that score ,or are the Boks in their fortress so weak that a"scrappy rag tag outfit " from NZ can still bring them down .Again .So the Aussies havent won against NZ since 2011 and it may well stay that way .

I didn't expect the Boks to win. They are a work in progress with a weak defence. I expected more from New Zealand. They won, but somehow I don't feel the Boks fear them. They look vulnerable. As I say, things can change by the time the World Cup arrives. I'm only remarking on what they have done now. I think that's perfectly reasonable. 

An experimental All Blacks second string XV has just given the Springboks a thrashing in their own back yard to make it 10 wins out of the last 12 meetings, but here we have the Yarpies trying to give us a 'reality check'?

There was only one reality check given out over the weekend and it's only the Yarpies out of the whole world who haven't worked out who was dishing it out and who was on the receiving end.

 The last try by the wee abs was ILLEGAL. Read the post by Sharkbok.We probably scored the Lood try. 14 point swing. Also the wee abs should have got a penalty against thenm for holding onto habana. Instead they get the penaly.
Then they stopped a Bok try by three consequetive red zone infringements!!!
Boks therefore should have won by  17 points in a fair contest. Then the wee abs had incredible luck when Koch dropped the ball going over and was injured! Plus the boks were held up over the line!!
Conservatively we were 17 points better and we were fileding a severely weakened side due firstly to injuries to player in the filed and secondly to a number ofr injured quality players not in the match 15.The fact is our starting 15 not at full strength outplayed the wee abs.Fact is we also had the worse part of the travel factor.
Hansen has to be an  extremely worried man if he is objective. Hopefully he will beleive the hype, convince himslef the abs won FAIR and square and keep on the variosu has beens in this mediocre side.

The experienced players did not show up for New Zealand. I know that their 10 was new and not very good on the day, but for the team to be so devoid of structure and solidity? That's very un-All Black like. For both centres to struggle is a very big concern. So far, the centre pairing of Toomua and Kuridrani is a long way ahead of the rest of the world. Australia look the sharpest on attack and stronger on defence. This may well change, but last weekends showing wasn't very good. That's not trying to pick at NZ. I have a lot of respect for them. I'm just stating it how it was.

 Card,  you are right,  but they still won.  When are their luck going to run out. Lood non-try,  very unlucky.  If in NZ,  and Brodie was involved?  Given or not?  How much doubt id the measure?
