Rolling mauls clarifying the rules

...Saw a couple of rolling mauls that led to tries on the weekend...seems that Joubert needs to learn the rules before the RWC..as the same thing happened when he officiated over the Cheetahs vs Chiefs

...appears there are too many grey areas when it comes to rolling mauls , differing interpretations of the rules and something that needs clarification before the RWC...

Nick Mallet has this interesting solution to the rolling maul issue. Basically, he's suggesting that players be allowed to collapse the maul. Looks worth experimenting with.

 They did "legalise" collapsing of the maul a few seasons ago. Didn't work, and it was outlawed again.
