Based on the series thus far - it is clear that both are way past their best.

Against the low on the log Blues yesterday. McCaw played a shocker.   His attacking play was poor - he had 4 ball carries with a territory gain of all of 2 meters, he lost ball possession once and his tackling stats were por - tackles made 12, missed tackles 3.  He gave away 3 penalties as well.   McCaw is really showing why players should retire before they destroy their image by overstaying their welcome.

Carter is unfortunate inasmuch as the Crusaders in the last two matches played him at 12 and not at flyhalf.  His defense was sound - but his attacking play was non-existent.

Quite correct Mike, but lets hope these two keep getting selected for the wee abs. Please ignore poooo ie as he has a bad case of hero worship.
